I guess your main weapon for the WC is probably gonna be Pedersen, his sprint after a hard race is just that good.

After Flanders I was sure it was Asgreen, but he didn't reach that form since then... depends on that form, really. Otherwise I also think Pedersen is a very good bet. I feel the Danes, despite all their assets are still flying a bit under the radar for the WC so far (in comparison to Belgium and Italy.)

And the Belgian kid who finished 4th is named Vlad, that's a rather unusual name for a Belgian boy. Is one if his parents from eastern europe?

I recently picked him in the "Guess Who Game" for the exact same reason. I believe the mother is Lithuanian. His sister Gloria is also a cyclist. Their father Francis is a DJ/record producer turned cycling coach and team manager of the Cannibal youth team.

I don't know. Asgreen was in a decent shape in the Benelux tour. He just had some bad luck with mecanics in the Riemst/Bilzen stage because he was actually the one attacking on the last climb only to have his bike fail him in the descent.

Rayer, Ivanchenko and Barale will make up the podium in the women's junior race, unless they stop working together during the final kilometers.

They didn't work too well together which allowed Linda Riedmann, who had been dropped on the climb, to come back and win the sprint in front of Eleonora Ciabocco, Eglantine Rayer, Francesca Barale and Anna Ivanchenko. Anniina Ahtosalo won the sprint in the peloton for 6th.
