This Giro will join 2012 and 2014 in the list of most unremarkable Giros I've watched. And even 2014 had a moment like the Val Martello stage. Not even the Torino stage saves it.

It's not enough to throw 10km @ 9.x% climbs. It gives nice press but not nice racing.

It needs racers that aren't afraid to race. You know when you stick Evenepoel or Pogacar in any race, there will be racing. Even the Froome era was more exciting because you knew he would try to race at some point, despite the Sky train.

The worst GT I have ever seen. Trully unwatchable!!! Awful route design, the only positive thing is that now everyone sees how time trials are important

Was very much looking forward to the final week of the Giro. Had a week off to watch Il Giro and do some studying and it has just been utter garbage.
The only stage I didn"t get to see was the Torino one.

Am I the new Gigs?

Apart from not having an early ITT (where I agree on the poaitive effect on race dynamics), I do not think the route was awful. Rather the riders.

I can't wait for the "WHAT A CLOSE GIRO, SO INTERESTING" comments from the experts and pundits. "LOOK AT THIS CLIMB, ITS SO STEEP".

Sure, but the route suck, no climbs can really make up for that.

Yeah but it almost always works for the Mortirolo, which has those gradients. I doubt 15km at 8% would've improved anything

I'd take those editions over this race honestly. I have most watched stages, but sadly missed Torino and I haven't been really excited at any point of the race to be honest. I cant recall that has ever happened

I think 2014 was a little better than this, unless something dramatic happens tomorrow.
2012 was definitely worse.

2014 had good moments like the Val Martello stage (even if due to that red flag discussion) and Aru breaking into the scene with a podium and a MTF win. That's at least two moments that I instantly remember when looking back 8 years later.

Right now there isn't anything to particularly remarkable to remember from this race.

2012 had a good last stage with Cunego attacking from far and being the virtual leader on the road (from what I remember) and Thomas De Gendt going to the final podium. This Giro it's not over but I don't have my hopes up to have something similar tomorrow.
