Funniest thing ever was when the "cultural expert" on Rai once talked about his book. The other commentators asked him what he thinks about it and he just said "he should stick to cycling".

Terpstra said that when he joined Direct Energies they still used limonade during races.... Terpstra didn't perform well due to many reasons at the team, but he did bring a lot of knowledge to the team. It's just strange that a rider needs to bring it....

I drink limonade during most of my rides. Can't see why it'd be inferior to fancy sport drinks. It's healthier for sure

Not sure that's an indication here. There are more dark horses in this group. Vansevenant is the same age but finished 6th in Avenir 2 years before Leemreize finished 4th. Same year Moniquet crashed in the last stage while he had been in the top 10 for most of the week.
