Come on, Rasmussen was a joke even for the era he was riding in, completely shameless. He might be insightful and fun now (Armstrong is too), but he really had no place in the peloton.
Unfortunately, the same may be applied to more recent champions than it may not.
You don't think Rasmussen had a little bit of responsibility in ruining his own career?
Had Worre kept his mouth shut everything would've been just fine.

You should listen to the Forhjulslir portrait of Worre. It's so easy just to side with Michael Rasmussen when you're a fanboy but it was a complex situation and Worre also had a career he wanted to keep going.
No, I have no intent on listening to that, I'd rather live with my own ignorance and dislike Jesper Worre the rest of my life and be petty about Rasmussen not winning that Tour. Thats more fun to me. Im kinda like people who vote for Danmarkdemokraterne in that aspect.

Aight, Sørensen isn't that bad at all, its just that sometimes... sometimes he gets on my nerves.

RedheadDane: Yes, of course I do, but its more fun to blame Jesper Worre for everything that happened, because Rasmussen is my hero afterall, so Im good with my own blind spots.

The break is doomed to failure today anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Alaphilippe launches an attack on the Cat 3 and tries to stay away down the descent. I'd certainly expect attacks on that last climb anyway since very few riders would be confident of beating a fit Roglic in an all out sprint up the final ramp.

Lol, you can't expect to be taken seriously on this matter.

I approve of the self awareness, just saying. As someone who stopped watching that tour, when he was taken out, and didn't watch any cycling until 2020 he's still the reason I watch cycling :joycat:

Peloton just not missing the catch before the intermediate.
Camera absolutely not showing the actually important sprint between Bennett and Pedersen...

He's won on similar uphill finishes before; if Bora can keep him in touch after the first 2km of the cat3, I'd expect him to be there or thereabouts in the finale.

That said, the tougher finish might be just the edge that Pedersen needs.

Neither of those two will be anywhere near the win...

Which similar did he win before? Pretty sure he has no chance, they're doing this for Higuita.

His stage win at Burgos in 2020 was at the top of a pretty stiff hill, but it looks like he's pulled the plug now after the sprint anyway.
That was 5% and the last 400m were flat or even a bit downhill. I don't see how that's similar to today's finish.
