The last 10 minutes I have been wandering, WTF is Cavagna doing on the front. One of his Captains for the stage is up the road. Please someone get on the phone to Davide Bramati
They need to keep the break under control so Masnada can be useful after the incoming Remco attack.

Edit: I forgot who I was replying to

The TV moto has just asked Bramati. They just want to be at the front to avoid risks due to the wet roads. Purito is still laughing at that answer.

Since it's warm the rain shouldn't be an extreme problem.
it's not "cold", but 15+°C colder than the past days. Problem is not the temperature itself, but the drastic change of conditions, which some adapt better with than others.

Nice weather for a descending Shark

Not sure the last time it rained in the region but if it's been a long time the roads will be greasy. I suspect we won't see GC attacks until the final climb -- it's long and shallow enough that a chaser could be brought back with team tactics.

So what are the chances these 2 climbs are going to be ridden hard by GC?

QS have taken back a minute in a short space of time on the lead into this climb. I can only think that they have an attack for Eveneopel planned at some stage then use Masnada up the road if required. Otherwise chasing down the break with one of their riders in it makes little sense. Especially given that Roglic is more likely to take bonus seconds in a sprint finish.
