the problem isnt the route the problem is the riders you have here. THE GC guys are ALMEIDA, G. THOMAS and ROGLIC all are notoriously knowned for riding defensive all the time.....ofcourse its gonne be a snooze fest.

Same route and put Pogacar in it, attacked left and right and sprints in intermiditates sprints too..its the riders not the course and their all notoriously knowned for riding this way all 3 of em so yeah here you go ofcourse this is the outcome then..their riding this non stop all their life its just these riders way of riding.

Ofc would pog ride there wouldnt be much excitment in the GC apartments in terms of time so in that perspective that also could been boring in the sense of easy win but wouldnt lack of attacks left right and center.

Also Roglic will win tomorrow, just a well educated guess from inner circles, run to the bookies.

Agree except that by now Pogacar would be 6 minutes ahead and ready for more.

What I do know is that whoever of the three wins tomorrow, their fan base/camp will be very excited and will talk about it for a long time and rightfully so.

Dear members of the forum, due to a series of unfortunate events I was "dropped" in Venice and am now unable to go see this last stage. Would by any means anyone going be able to give me a ride to monte lussari from here?

Everybody knows I'm not the first guy to crap on a route but I have to admit that when I saw this stage and where it was placed in the race, I thought it was incredibly stupid. And it turned out to be the case. I think I understand a little bit better now why people pay so much attention to pacing of routes. I do still think that it's something that tends to be severely overestimated by some users but man has this race got it wrong...

At least I hope tomorrow will be a blast. The suspense certainly is alive. A Giro win is a Giro win, after all, I guess... Even this Giro.

Edit: Actually, I'm not going to be completely happy however this ends. Roglic and Thomas are probably the two top guys I like the most and it will end in heartbreak for one of them.

I would not expect it different.

A lot of teams staying just over the border in Kranjska Gora. So home turf advantage for Roglič. Tomorrow the TT course will look like Planica ski jumping event every year. There is even an organized (free?) bus that will be taking spectators from Kranjska Gora to Tarvisio every 20 minutes for the whole day. So expect a lot of Slovenian flags.

My only worry is that among those thousands of fans there will always be one or two idiots... remember Lopez getting into a fistfight in 2019? Yeah, those kind of idiots...

And they are going to be so disappointed.

Think Roglic may take this - not been a vintage giro but he seems to be improving. All about pacing.

How long will TT take? I guess the first 11.5km ish will be done in 13/14 mins or so- how long will the climb itself take 25-30minutes? If so we looking at a 40minute effort.

As been said, if this stage was yesterday before the Queen stage, then it'll be a lot better, but as we have the gimmick stage to round things off, I predict a gimmick winner! Arensman, after yesterday's showing, to race up the climb, threaten G on GC, told to knock it back by the DS, then soft pedal to the finish.
Thinking of many Roglic fans have apparently been bused in, how much room is there on the climb for fans? Things could get crowded up there.

Lussari has an elevation gain of 900 m. On such a steep gradient strong guys can achieve a VAM of about 1800 m/h for half an hour or maybe even more considering it's a ITT bazooka effort (i.e. 1860 m/h for 29 minutes or 1920 m/h for 28 minutes if Rogla channels his inner monster and has a superb performance like peak Vinge/Pog). So something around 15 kph is likely.

Thomas looks strong but there's still some hope for a legendary performance by the ski-jumper just 10 km from Planica hill, right?

Some teams had not yet decided if they'd do a bike change
Bike change area is before the road narrows, still in the flat section. Riders are expected to arrive at >50km/h and will lose more time than if the bike change was in the climb.
His gear is 37x33 and cannot ride on the saddle. He recommends a 34t or 35t chainring.
