I sense a lot of frustration building up already, clouding the vision of several posters. I agree the giro has been underwhelming to say the least, but instead of spending your energy on getting more and more fed up with it, just quit watching it. It is actually beginning to get more annoying reading the grumpy posts than watching a rather short highlight reel of each stage...

I'm hating this Giro now so I haven't been posting on how it's going the past few days. I might liking it again anytime so I might post again on the race as soon as I stop hating it. I do whatever I want with it.

Would be better to race this profile backwards
I think we've said that about several stages.

Overall, this Giro has been a damp squib. But that's not really the fault of anyone in particular. Covid took out one of the prohibitive favorites, and the rider we were most hyped to see. As well as a bunch of key domestiques. The weather was horrible; there was a lot of "sickness" (probably covid, honestly) in the peloton; a crash took out TGH who would probably have made things interesting with Thomas. So here we are.

The top 3 are now riders whose MO is not to attack; that's just the way they ride. You aren't going to will Thomas to go on a 40k solo raid, let's put it that way.

On the plus side I got a lot more work done last week than I thought I would.

Yeah, seems like the gap will quickly be too big for anything to happen on the climb.

There's been several times during different races over the years I've had similar sentiments, but due to the clusterf**k that happened yesterday I believe you just chose completely the wrong time to come up with those . There were just too many legitimate reasons to feel disappointed and angry from yesterday alone and the level and spread of those feelings are clearly a lot higher and wider among the forum users than the usual crumbling about boring racing.

Guys, theres someone from THE!! INEOS-GRENADIERS in there!!! This changes EVERYTHING

In fairness though this is the most exciting 5minutes outside of Roglic' first split in the 2nd ITT and his mini stomp on stage 8
