I mean Armirail is not a threat but the way this Giro has gone he could very well end up top 10 once we roll into Rome.

Yes I was thinking that, 2 really big mountain stages left where he would just have to hang on for dear life and try and limit and should be fine on the tt, could theoretically top 10 as his climbing isn't bad.

It would be nice for such an unselfish rider to have his moment.

nah I took it more as they were asking hm about what some 80s/90s riders who had claimed modern riders were soft for not riding in the conditions where they shortened the stage, and he replied well they did lots of things in the 80/90s we dont and are proud not to do anymore, so he's just basically telling those 80s/90s riders to get back in the sea about raising such daft points because riders in the 80s/90s actually dont have the moral high ground in cycling.
And what you just said was exactly what I said.
There's no logic for him to just be like "you were all dopers so you have no say". That's not an argument, it's just a reactive comment to shift back blame.

But if he took a moment to ponder what he just said the only logical conclusion would be that a GT has to be shortened to avoid having to dope.
Not that he has any clue that it's what he's saying. But [journalist hat on] good journalist should've picked up on it lol.
