Unless somehow things happen on Giau, Thomas, Roglic and Almeida will go down as the most pathetic GT podium of all time, and it won't be particularly close. Why couldn't one of them be exiled from the WT rather than Lopez or Quintana?

Atleast last years Giro had strong breakaways if I remember correctly. Now we don't even get that because there's a lot of good climbers already back home or others are just too close in GC because nothing happened for 3 weeks straight.
