The fact that clearly, Roglic isn't the best he's ever been, and there's a significant risk of shooting themselves in the foot by making the race hard?

What happened to the no risk no glory, then?

Hope Gee wins the stage and the mountain jersey. One hell of a Giro he's having.

It's pretty clear Roglič doesn't want to end up in maglia rosa today by mistake. He doesn't want to ride the TT in maglia rosa, marginal gains and stuff...

In fairness to Geraint Thomas he doesn t have to attack ..he is in pink

But JV and UAE ? what are they thinking . That they can win on the IT ?

In future more climbing at beginning run of Giro, less TT and maybe later in the year to avoid illness

It s been a bore fest
UAE should go for it if Almeida is feeling well, but given his time loss yesterday, they're probably just hoping he can hang on and crawl his way to the line close to the leaders.

But as for UAE/Ineos, this:
It's interesting, the casual pace so far might really suit roglic or almeida, whereas Thomas has looked very solid but not explosive so a higher pace may have worked to his advantage

I really don't understand Ineos wanting to find out what Roglic can do on a fifteen-minute effort with fairly fresh legs. Maybe Thomas isn't feeling too well either.

Give me the full EPO era instead of this snorefest . Ricco , Di Lucca , Basso ....those were the days ....
Ya, as bad as everything else was, that Saunier Duval team of Ricco, Piepoli and Simoni lit up that Giro before they all got caught.

You really don't have to remember them today sadly... different name, same black hole of joy.
well its a lot worse now... ineos no longer have a strong team/rider.

At this point, we should stop having mountain stages and just have the occasional flat stage ending with a 5 km 5% climb... will make things more interesting for us fans.
