Yeah with everyone knowing Remco and maybe Roglic are too strong no one even tries to do anything and Remco knows he'll just win a lot of time in the TT again. Going to be boring tille last week.

I expect Hirt to be way better in the high mountains, but others like Cattaneo are shockingly bad.

Stage 7 and 8 looks pretty hard as well. I think today is the easiest out of those three stages

Maybe some of these rather hard sprinter stages will deliver something

I understand that people are unhappy that the stage was not exhilarating . And to be honest I think certain riders should have tried attacks. But remco is flying. I don't understand how you gain time on him on that climb. If enough people tried to attack him he would just go to the front and set tempo.

Later on the race maybe you can make a difference against remco

Well, I guess he could try convincing them to ride for him to show how it would be in their team in the not-too-distant future.

On the bright side the Ineos pace made Leknessund's lead so small that Remco will get the jersey right back on Campo Imperatore, so it's only a short break for the team.

That was an incredibly disappointing stage once the breakaway formation was done. Soudal probably won't be this vulnerable every time, yet nobody tried to take advantage, and the stage win fight was very predictable too.

Joke's on you for getting expectations up in that situation. Not much ever happens on a stage like this on a stage 4 unless one team can dominate the race solo and those teams don't go to the Giro most of the time.

Final climb was disappointing I agree, but I think everyone was afraid of getting countered in the worst caase and Evenepoel pulling it back on the flat in the best case and you still get nothing.

I don't think Albanese will be far on the climb, but I doubt he will be with the first guy over the top.
My guess is Paret Peintre for the stage, Leknessund 2nd and pink.

What we do know now is that QS can rely on Ineos for the pacing in the mountains.

Klaas Lodewyck implies that they let the guys peel off one by one to save energy, because they knew nothing was going to happen anymore, and because it had been a hard race.

Quickstep DS just said they wanted to let the riders take small turns in the end and ride easy to the top. It was a hard race so in the end it turns out good like this. If they would've attacked with multiple riders, it would've been another case.

Underwhelming stage at the end. I expected at least someone from the GC group to attack but they didn't.
At least Parent-Peintre and Leknessund got their reward.

Hirt has to be up there. Not on last year's level. But if he can't even reach his CCC Rettenbachferner and 12th @ the 2017 Giro d'Italia level it's worrying for Remco!
