ok buddy, Cav should have just stopped cuz it wasn't his day. BUUUT the guy behind Cav? Totally his day, he should be going all outThat was just a racing incident. Cav slipped on the white line, backed off, then drifted to his right into Dainese, then Dainese went for an opening, and clipped Cav's wheel...but Cav put himself in the soup, when he should have just went left and backed off, because it was clear it was not his day.
I havent seen the video yet but this still image is useless
I went back and replayed it a few times; seems there was a tiny touch from an Arkea (?) rider on Remco's left - Remco looked to his left to see who it was and wobbled into the way of an oncoming rider on his right.View: https://twitter.com/eurosport/status/1656321841428922372
Why Remco? And why so upset following?
If you don't watch the race and only go by comments on the forum, that's exactly what happened. So Remco crashed, people waited for him, then others crashed, SQS rode hard until they slowed down, then he crashed by his own fault and spent the rest of the time arguing and being angry about others? Argh.

Lol no. Remco crashed when the peloton was riding at a tourist tempo, they hardly 'waited' for him. Others crashed when SQS was already riding at the front and they just kept the same pace to stay out of trouble. In hindsight, they were better off riding hard to keep the group small and safe but that would obviously be a *** move.So Remco crashed, people waited for him, then others crashed, SQS rode hard until they slowed down, then he crashed by his own fault and spent the rest of the time arguing and being angry about others? It seems to me that the impact might have actually helped Fiorelli keep it rubber side down. But yeah, play stupid games ... Hope he didn't break his arm. Hope everyone heals up well after this nightmare of a stage.A great reminder why you should never, ever, put your arms through the barriers to film a sprint. The broken phone will be the least of that person's pain right now...
He swerved because Dainese chopped his wheel. Dainese started his sprint to the right of Cav & ended up on the far left to everyone else.
After his wheel slipped, he lost momentum...it was over. He had no shot at winning after losing that much steam...and then he decided to go right back into the mix...that was on him. Just a racing thing, but his decision to move right is what resulted in the crash. Sorry if that hurts your feelings.ok buddy, Cav should have just stopped cuz it wasn't his day. Incorrect, that's exactly what happened if you watch the race without wearing rainbow jersey-tinted glasses. You should give it a try.If you don't watch the race and only go by comments on the forum, that's exactly what happened.
Jayco send Groenewegen to all the races where Groves would have excelled last year. It's on them he left.Reckon that Cavendish would have gone close to winning the stage if he didn't lose the wheel - Jayco will be hurting because they developed Groves in the hard times of his first two years, but alas, the offer from Alpecin was too good to refuse.
It happened right before the line, him not winning had nothing to do with him losing steam unless he had a rocket strapped to his back. After his wheel slipped, he lost momentum...it was over. He had no shot at winning after losing that much steam...and then he decided to go right back into the mix...that was on him. Yeah, both riders made mistakes and their mistakes came together. In Evenepoel's defense, the Trek rider swerved and cut his front wheel. You can also overtake a rider and make sure you're not cutting off.
pleading against Evenepoel, is that he looked left just before that moment, swerved a bit himself to the right, and in general, didn't have enough speed to casually let himself slip back in the peloton without riding 'in the way' of riders contesting the finale. It would be smart for him if his team just kept him halfway in that peloton with 2-3 riders in front of him.
