Who are people backing as favourite for the Vuelta??

Obviously Vingegaard is the best GC man on the planet but there is talk that Roglic is Jumbos leader.

If I have to go by Tour-Vuelta doubles of the last 15 years, it should be nearly impossible for Vingegaard to be at the same level in the Vuelta.
My knowledge is poor, outside of Contador what’s the best Giro/Veulta double?

That was a weird Vuelta as well. Aru was very consistent as far as I remember in that race, but he really lacked the top level and yet he won due to various reasons
That race had very close gaps on top of GC, but Aru did a huge performance in Andorra.

I do miss those Andorra stages. Or maybe just mostly the 2015 one.

The TTT will not be the "Paris-Nice" variation, but the time of the 5th rider across the line. Could be some big time gaps.

Also, The Combativity Award allows the public to partake - "This prize rewards the rider who displayed the most generous effort and best sporting spirit. This award is given only for linear stages and is determined daily by a jury made up of the Technical Directors, presided by the General Director of the race. They will decide on three riders whom they believe to be deserving of the prize that day. TV viewers will then be able to cast their votes among the three chosen via a telematics system (by phone or internet). The rider to earn the most votes will be named the Most Combative Rider of that day. In the event of a tie, the General Director of the race will intervene and decide on the winner."

I don't think the combativity award will be worse than in the past so why not. Sport events really love their social media engagement, and this seems a fairly natural way to achieve this.

That's why he's resting now, so he he come down a notch and be at his Tour level again, and not over.

If Jumbo wins the TTT in stage 1, it will be interesting to see who gets the leader's jersey for stage 2.
I think they’d let Gesink cross the first of he’s still in contact, giving him some time in the leaders jersey as he’s retiring this season would be a nice way to say goodbye.

There are 17 90 degree corners on the opening 14.8 km TTT - well, at least it should keep the time gaps down!

That day Landa was super strong from the breakaway and Dani Moreno was actually stronger that Purito, a bit of a weird stage.

He got it in the TTT last year, so I hope they give it to Kuss.

Was that the stage when Froome crashed in the neutral zone ..into a wall and broke a bone in his foot ??

Biggest things I remember about that whole race was Tom Dumoulin announcing as a GC rider
and Chaves also flying up all the muirs ...who knew before then that both would be so strong
even if it didnt t last for too many years
