Tbf, already in 2022 Milesi was the only guy besides Wærenskjold to beat Segaert in an ITT during that season. The guy started cycling late after a football injury, but as a first year junior he was already 2nd in the Italian NC ITT, ahead of the one year older Tiberi, who would go on to win the MJ TT at the WC that year. He also did 2 decent TTs at the Giro this year and still has lot of room to improve, if you look at his postition and i don't know if Movistar's TT set-up is still good.
Yes tt aside the circumstances of his departure seemed a bit odd too. DSM have a good development record despite the rigidity, the young guys seem to leave due to structural/disciplinarian reasons but Milesi's seemed to be really amicable. You would expect if it's not a forced-move for him to go somewhere he can take the next step with a track record for tters so Movistar seemed completely random, average tt setup, not much development and notoriously a bit difficult for non-Hispanophone's to integrate.

Anyway let's see what benchmark these Women set for the Kosovan's.

No Kosovans in the Elite Men's race.
I was just having a laugh with Slavique Nuke, who seems to have exactly the same complaint as a user at this race last year...

No Kosovan refugees, but there is a 'random Ukrainian draft dodger'

Italians pick up Spanish pretty fast as it's rather similar. He also has Formolo, Cimolai and Moro as teammate + Sciandri in the teamcar, so there is a decent sized Italian group.

Yeah, their Canyon TT setup was good 10-8 years ago, when they had riders like Castroviejo, Malori and Nelson Oliveira, but a long time has passed since then...

That was a surprisingly dominant performance by Kopecky. It's even more surprising. seeing she was off the pace in the Olympics ITT.

Rain radar says rain from 16.50 onwards first part of the parcours, so early starters could have an advantage.

Very wet roads on some parts of the parcours now. Affini slower than Arensman at T1 because of it probably.

Segaert about to have the fastest time of the day, Belgian inquest already on their way to Hasselt to check exactly how much time the change in conditions has affected things, heads to roll.

So Arensman still first at T1 cause he rode on dry roads.

EDIT: just when I say it, there comes Hoole, new fastest time. The Dutch are flying today

Kung needs a 20s penalty for his number being on wrong

German ES claims it is constantly moving, so he probably has some kind of fairy or kobold on his back helping him with magic. That's at least a sound explanation how he finally won a GT stage. There is, afaik, also no rule against intervention by magic beings, or literal fairytale solutions.
