Just wanna say it's nice to hear from someone who actually lives, rides, and knows the area! From what I can see on my screen currently the area reminds me a bit of Eugene, OR, where I live in that there are lots of trees, rivers, and hills in the background, I think it looks nice.

Mate, San Vito is harder than Mur de Huy, how can you think Laporte can win stage 1? This is clearly a stage for climbers, specially after Maddalena.

Because it is not a hilltop finish. I fully expect Pogacar to win today just threw out Laporte as a plausible alternative on the 1 in 50 times this course is ridden and Tadej doesn’t win.
