Doesn't make much sense to hold a "Pro Road Championship" with only one pro at the start. At least he won. Just.
Second place, only 6 seconds back went to a 27 yo Anders Johnson who I never heard of. The only results for him in PCS was the 2024 New Zealand Cycle Classic 2.2

I know they didn't do it before, but EF should - if in any ways possible - design a jersey for Faulkner with the stars being gold coloured.

Mischa Bredewold continues her strong season by becoming the new Dutch time trial champion ahead of Visma's Riejanne Markus and Lieke Nooijen. The championship ITT spots haven't become easier to fill after this.

Olympic champion rower Ymkje Clevering rode the 6th fastest time (and almost beat Ellen van Dijk) to take the club/amateur title. Olympic medalist speed skater Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong won the separate road race a few days ago.

The men's ITT has just started.

Markus is not on Visma anymore. Nooijen is, and this was actually her first race day of the season, after suffering a broken vertebra in a training accident.

Antoinette de Jong winning the amateur race is a bit ridiculous really, she's a professional athlete but just in another sport, competing against actual amateurs. She shouldn't be in that race.

Now that makes me wonder:
Is there a sport that is so completely different from cycling that being a professional in that sport would not really give you much of an advantage over amateurs?

Ski jumping :) It's not an endurance sport. That's why Roglic' switch is so random.

Hoole picked up another Dutch NC ITT title today.
van Baale 2nd.

PCS reports that both had the same time at 36:40, so it was tight, sub second stuff.

Edit: PCS confused me (hello). Hoole won by 20s or so. Solid margin over 31kms.
