Frayre is clinging on for life here, hopefully Del Toro gets fed up of him and starts the conversations soon.

20k to go according to the Mexicans in the live chat
Eder got fully lit on fire at about @10-11 to go and Isaac varied his speed about 4,5 times really hard at @20-22 to go and you could see Frayre's legs just frying.
And I really don't think it's a fair criticism of tactics for guys to take pulls and working with Isaac Del Toro, it's possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity, to be in a cohesive working group with one of the worlds best. People saying that you should never take a pull while racing against Del Toro are right if you are a decent pro..but these guys were just in awe.. Eder trains with Isaac so he knows when an explosion starts and what it looks like. Frayre also had everything going for him..70-30..or 60-40 with Del Toro doing majority ..it was shredding everyone behind and when it was Frayre's time to tap out, Del Toro had given him an excellent gap..even going downhill today was a decent wind coming off the ocean ..hard race.
It's pretty amazing to see the speed variations that top pros can produce, flat or uphill.. I don't see how anyone can keep a wheel.. Del Toro is just getting started, think of what Remco or Pogacar can do to your legs when they hit hyperspace button.. I really respect the way Del Toro raced against his countrymen.

I'm sorry, I just can't get over the Maltese ITT National Championships on Coastal Roads.

Not like in Spain this year, where the ITT Championships just happened to be on some very mountaineous roads. A specific one for coastal roads...

And also the half-a-million road races.

One thing that I have an opinion on but don't know for absolutely certain..
Let's call it the Del Toro effect.
The Mexican cycling federation was filled with problems, too many to list, just like most federations around the world.
UCI schit out the entire organization. What is amazing, in my opinion is that the powers that be in Mexican cycling infrastructure, fleshed up an entirely new federation, to comply with UCI rules, did it what feels like overnight, organized and held a very successful national championship series of races. And UCI reps were there, it looked like everything was up to snuff.
Very encouraging for the immediate future. Also the Junior race and U23 crowd acted and raced like animals, which I credit to the Del Toro effect and giving young riders something to shoot for.. His public profile has given a real shot in the arm for Mexican cycling and cycling fans.
A real positive direction.. would have all this energy been expended if Del Toro was not involved? I doubt it.
