I find it pretty amusing that Vanmarcke missed a dangerous move and has to work a lot to catch them. He may be often one of the strongest riders of the day but his tactics aren't the best.

Thats why he wont win a monument for me.

Are BMC just leaving the leaders to waste energy? Weak chase otherwise
3 leaders vs 3 BMC domestics?. Of course they are not closing it down. Other teams must help.

Domestiques dont have to calculate with saving some energy for the finish though, they can leave it all on the road.

The leaders have to save energy across 40km. 3 BMC guys could just go harder for less kms to bring the gap back

Well done to him.

Yeah seeing his 10th place in MSR and seeing EBH look pretty decent here, it looks like his move to MTN is working out a bit. It's good to see him riding at a decent level again.

Yeh defiantly. Seems a really nice guy and he was starved at Sky as there focus is on the GT's although Thomas is doing well here :D

Stybar could be a match for Sagan in a sprint these days, but surely Thomas will outfox them :) If they stay away that is.
