You beat me to it. The speed of the tow was the issue here, rather than the lenght of the sticky bottle. She took too much of an advantage from it, at least for the comissaires liking.It is what is.
I feel like it was a 50/50. They gambled a bit too much and unnecessary at this point in the race to try and cross lines. The car was going pretty fast... look at how they gaining on the riders on the right in the clip.
From the heli, I've only seen it as close to her as the other one is to the chasers.Longo Borghini is doing a great race but that motorbike is too close to her
agree... but it's the balant inconsistency the refs are showing that angers me thoughMaybe not the most egregious example, but glad to see that sticky bottles will be penalised. Riders demonstrate in every race their ability to snatch a bottle at speed from someone at the roadside, so no reason for it.
