Rolling rocks! The Ganna group was caught, some sprinting for KOM (Evenepoel getting into the mix), and some other guys are away.
Plus a lot of rocks!

Evenepoel expertly managing Guillaume Martin who attacked (for KOM) on the climb, but Evenepoel didn't let him go for an inch, but did leave the KOM points for Martin. McNulty was very quick to find Evenepoel's wheel and was 3rd for KOM.What's happening, Ginger?
Speak! Talk!
Yes they are. UAE working in the peloton. Are the sprinters alive?
I'm sure such a question will not be overinterpretated at all by our live update person here...
Is Barbier a sprinter? As in, a sprinter-sprinter, not just someone who happened to win a sprint when all the sprinter-sprinter crashed. Because he made some gestures that could mean "I'm dead" in the figurative sense.
Or... maybe just that he was hungry.

To be fair other than his debut season where he stood out in an elite breakaway in the Tour Down Under I cant ever recall Sagan looking sharp and fast in his season opener so I would not read much into it yet.Great leadout and a straightforward win for Gaviria.
Barbier having an excellent race, doing well in high level company.
Hodeg blew his own doors off coming from waaaaay back.
Sagan not looking very fast at this point of the season.
P - preparationInterviewer: Remco, how do you feel for tomorrow's stage?
Evenepoel: Well, tomorrow's a rest day.
On the first day, one of the local interviewers (maybe the same, i don't know) asked him if it was his first birthday so far away from home... To which he replied "But i was here last year as well".P - preparation
Yeah, i saw it. That was funny))On the first day, one of the local interviewers (maybe the same, i don't know) asked him if it was his first birthday so far away from home... To which he replied "But i was here last year as well".
Gaviria looking strong already so early with the likes of Ewan and Bennett. I fear for Sagan though. He just is not there when it matters. Losing on critical points of sprints. Oh sure 4th place but rider like Sagan should be winning sprints.
With him also riding the Giro after the cobbled classics starting a bit slower seems only natural.Sagan's looking really poor, he's barely able to get out of his saddle in those sprints. Gaviria otoh is flying, he has even managed to get over today's climb with the front group.
