I don't like Movistar's glasses. What is this new trend with big glasses? Let Garmin do that nonsense. I'll never forget when I saw them for the first time on Hesjedal during the 2013 Tour, he looked like a freakin tourist. Stick to Jose Herrada's instead, Dayer and Nairo. :(

Love the pain faces crossing the line. A fair bit of borrowing from the Voeckler library, including a great one from the man himself. Quintana with his usual stone-carving-impression expression. JJ Rojas always disappointed at himself. And Hugh Carthy straight ripping out some of the best pages from the Aru catalogue.

Also, is that your grandson, Antoine, in the black blazer and the grey vest? ;)

Smart ride from N. Quintana to take it easy in this race, while leaving a teammate in position for overall in case the race gets too dangerous on the final stage. Unfortunately for the rest of us :( , it seems he tested his legs off camera on the first stage, and his responsiveness to second-tier domestiques on the queen stage.

Hmm, well, that isn't as impressive for Nairo and Soler isn't going to France.

Not sure this race should be on Eurosport with prime coverage when races such as TDS and Slovenia with better fields aren't covered as well as they could be.

Only 3 world tour teams, and FDJ and AG2R are the worst of WT level.

Without Quintana at the race it wouldn't be on TV.

Some are making conclusions about Quintana's form but the level is disappointing. It's a shame he doesn't go to the proper races such as TDS and Dauphine.

FDJ and AG2R are assuredly not the worst of WT level. FDJ won Milano Sanremo, remember? As well as having Pinot. AG2R have Vuillermoz, Peraud, Pozzo and of course Bardet. You know Dimension Data, IAM, Giant, Cannondale and Lotto-Soudal? They all have less WT points than both. Jumbo, Lampre, Astana and Trek are all behind FDJ too. So please, stop making baseless claims.

This final stage would be a nice course for a world championship, although today it will be more like a French championship with Quintana as a guest rider.

Eurosport lost/gave up the rights to the Tour de Suisse a couple of years before they started broadcasting Route du Sud, so it's not as if you'd have one by dropping the other.
