Divine intervention for Fuglsang there. A little bit tragic considering Buchmann's heroic performance today that he lost podium with 200 meters to go.

If Buchmann hadn't missed the turn it just wouldn't be the proper climax.
Epic race.
Congrats to Astana, Bora, UAE, Mitchelton and everybody else featuring in this spectacle.

Chapeau Astana and Izagirre - made up for yesterday. Pogacar impressive again and Buchmann & Bora must be pleased despite the last day slip from the podium.

Astana sure are strong right now. They have a team without any big superstar but with lots of good climbers and guys who can win races. I mean it must not be underestimated that there are 7 different riders on the list you posted.

Astana know how to turn mountain stages into epic classics.

Stage 3 and 4 of TA + this stage of Itzulia have been the three greatest stages so far.

There's always something wrong, isn't there?

Landa gained three places from Verona's work.
There always is. So Schachman dropped again. Big surprise.

Me complaining don't make it less so.

What should they have done, then?

No, at least in my opinion the two last stages of Colombia were better but López won that race even if he didn't win the stages.

With a bit of luck A.Yates could have won TA/Catalunya and Pais Vasco - Anyway he should aim for a top 5 in the TDF.

My, not very scientific, methods tell me that Kudus will win Turkey.

He was almost even in TA. He had a mechanical here in Itzulia. What was the problem in Catalunya?

I missed that race. Good to know that my friends at Tiz have the race available. :D

Buchmann should have crashed on purpose after missing that turn. Maybe they would have used the 3 km rule and put him in the same time as the group. ;)

This was a well designed stage, with the tough climbs quite far from the finish and some lighter climbs closer to the finish.

Actually, I think it was shown to the world on a Colombian website. There was Spanish commentary, and I seem to remember that Tiz for some weird reason mute the commentary if it isn't English as if the listeners would be contaminated with foreignness or something, should they be listening to a non-English speak.

In the first mountain stage Bernal, Quintana and A.Yates broke clear with 4kms - Problem was the Colombians wouldn't work together allowing Lopes and Martin to regain contact - They work together and Lopes loses 30 to 40 seconds on that stage.

I'm ok with Spanish commentary. It makes the experience more authentic and I'm always up for learning a new language.

If he has a team he should aim for the win !!!
He is so good now maybe he could go to the Giro instead of Simon
Ehm, no, thats the exact reason Adam is better than Simon now. Simon is building steadily towards the Giro where as Adam is peaking in the spring and later in the Tour as well.
