If he isn't, and if Etixx don't manage to open the race with all their talent early on, I can't see anyone able to follow Sagan on Kapelberg,Paterberg, Kwaremont and Karnemelk in the absolute final. Well, Kwito would be, but he would rather race Tour of the Basque Country.

frisenfruitig said:Yeah I agree GVA has been disappointing this year. Said he was badly positioned when Sagan attacked on the Poggio and was still the first of the peloton at the top but I don't buy it tbh. I'm not exactly sure if GVA is worse this year or if Sagan is just ridiculously strong. I mean, that stage he won in TA where he was able to stay with Pinot, Quintana etc was just insane. There is no way GVA would ever be able to do that imo. The only thing GVA (and everyone else to be fair) can hope for is that Sagan peaked too early and his form is declining.
If he is as good as the past few weeks and doesn't ride like a complete moron he can't lose. I'm personally hoping for a good Boonen today but I fear that will be wishful thinking. A good showing in PR is the only thing I still expect of him.

He did start the Poggio in about 40th position.
I am sure he is heartbroken to hear this.myrideissteelerthanyours said:I am getting a bit tired of Sagan's antics he is too happy to do 90% of the work and settle for second place in... any race, really. He should quit the classics and focus on making spectacular downhill attacks in stage races and become the Vino we deserve.
Also who will be the best of the Belgians this year and why is his name GVA?
I fear it will be another ruined spring season...Eyeballs Out said:Gallopin crash and DNF with wrist issue. Thought he would go well today
Yeah I'm looking for a stream too, but none of them seem to be working...TourOfSardinia said:any tv yet?
