Sevilla got a bad day or just too hard route for him?

competition is too hard for him, he's not as good a climber as the colombians. the best result he ever got in vuelta colombia is 11th. this is a race a european can never win almost.

This was the headbreaker for BabyFace, it's now up to himself to get his act together for the rest of the VaC and the team work for him as he is so much better then Henao - but on the other side it's also to have a 1,2 at the end of the Vuelta the other way in order.

ok, thanks ;) then he was 11th last year, not much progression although he had excellent preparation for this year so this is the year he thinks he can win it.

Sevilla @ Henao >> teammates

Henao, Rujano or Sevilla take a pick ... don't take me wrong, non of them is second choice to me, it's just that Jose doesn' t need to win it this time around as he knows, just to put in some great performances lik today ...
Hot shot Henao will get it in time and has a great teacher for the final touch in Sevilla, therefore should has to work for Sevilla in the final stges to come.

No it's Sevilla who deserves his place in history, and he will by what he has shown already and what he will show in stages to come, you'll see. This bloody thing is won over 15 days and not 9 so again Sevilla is the better choice, Henao has had and probably will in another stage his day of pure Colombian fame, but has to know his place.

Agree and he is in his own special way ... but the other Superman was relaxed today and not in destress at all, raced like a real GC contender, outsmarted Duarte and led out Hanoa with a Giant in the final, for an important Colombian strong finish >>

So Sevilla crashed near the end? Reading the report, it's a bit confusing what effect it had on today's outcome. Ryo or DAOTEC, you have more details?

I saw the video from Mundo Ciclistico, but I wish I had a better broadcast than that. I only got a Señal Colombia feed few kilometers from the finish. Why are they doing this??

Rujano looks like Superman again. Ok, I'll say it. I am starting to be suspicious of this guy but since I am Colombian I am automatically bias. I need to see this form in Europe again. Somehow I think he is getting away with something. Last year there was a hot rumor but never materialized. I wonder what happened to the rumor at the end that there was a big fish positive. But we never found out. The news came from the UCI and then went away.

I'll take the heat from what I said. Maybe I deserve it since I am Colombian.

I like Sevilla though. Henao looks strong. We'll see tomorrow. It looks exciting.

Henao had to wait for him to pursue Rujano. But that's what is being said. I did not watch it on the videos clearly.

Sevilla crash final 10K

It's not done to talk about these things overhere ... Sevilla crashed (flat t) curving a sharp corner uphill going in to the final 10k ... had to change bike and asked Hanao to get him a couple of K up to speed again ... and immediately returned favour to his compatriot, tricked Duarte by sending out Hanao to the 2nd best after Superman to put on the yellow for the Colombians. You have to understand again and I will say it over and over again Sevilla is absolute blue color, one of the last gentleman left out of the old branch in the peloton.

Everybody has to deal with the same conditions overhere ...that's typical European all those excuses during the race and afterwards ...-->>

Here Jose on the last 10k climb with about 5k of this ... this is old school real time racing, can one imagine Schleck ploughing up this gruweling climb ...

I do understand the scepticism, but Rujano's major problem has never been physical, only psychological. He's a notoriously difficult character to motivate, and perhaps he just doesn't feel as comfortable in Europe, same as Ryo was saying about why the likes of Duarte and Henao don't come to Europe. Rujano's biggest successes in Europe were on a team with a number of other South Americans, after all.

he crashed but he was already more than a minute behind then, he crashed on a flat part, where henao and sevilla were taking time back on rujano, rujano was the best climber by far

I hear those storys from freddy montana and nairo quintana, pure jealousy because there's a venezuelan that is climbing better than any colombian. nothing is true about this at all, rujano has been clean his whole career I'm sure of that. this guy getting caught on doping would mean end of his career in europe. his test results are also the highest measured of any cyclist.
