If he really wants it and is in good form, he could place a signature attack at the very top of the climb in stage 1 at 4k from the finish. Only a select group of riders will be there still, and none of them will be his equal on the flat section leading up to the finish. If they fail to hold his wheel and give him 5m, it's over. He can ride away and take up to 30 seconds in 4k.
Hats off:laughing:
Although I can't believe they let him go away that easily, we need some DS to read this forum.

Yep. That's what they always do when Evenepoel wins. Those rumors of people not being able to stand his guts are completely wrong, the other riders all cheer for him and want him to win.
I think they were alluding to the group behind not being shown at all? The broadcasting was quite bad.

Impressive, but Movistar really made it hard, which was good for Evenepoel. He would have won without Movistar probably.
I am surprised that Vlasov didn't loose much more time after the mountain top. Great ride.

I don't know why but I find myself cheering for Remco. Anyway, good start. You want to start good to build up your confidence again (not that he needs it).

Movistar tactics were OK. It is early in the year and we don't know how everyone is riding, so you have to try to see what happens. Now, if they do that at the Tour you can tear them apart! :D
