Well, the racing has been a bit tame since Alarcon destroyed the field, but we will have crazy action Senhora da Graca in a few minutes

Well, in fairness, is he better or worse than Raúl "David Belda II: back and better than ever" Alarcón? Winning the TT might be overstretching himself a bit though.luckyboy said:de Mateos is such a joke lol. Gets off bio passport investigation on a technicality and then has the best race of his life. Just annoying.
His average stage position through the whole race is 5.4 compared to 8.4 last year.

15 riders climbed Senhora da Graca at more than 6.0 w/kg. All from Portuguese teams. Grandísima, baby!
Raul Alarcon climbed on Saturday the mythical Senhora da Graca climb in 21 min 05 sec. Around 6,5 w/kg, one of the highest performances of the season. The climbing speeds in Volta a Portugal remain at thermo-nuclear level this year too.
Raul Alarcon climbed today Penhas de Saude (12,5 km@7,5%) in 33 min 48 sec. Around 6.1 w/kg. It's a world class performance. #RoadtoInnsbruck

2018:8,4 km@7,4%---21:05---average speed 23.91 km/h(Raul Alarcon)
2017:8,4 km@7,4%---20:55---average speed 24.10 km/h(Raul Alarcon)
2009:8,3 km@7,7%---20:38---average speed 24.14 km/h(Alberto Contador)
Just wanted to put these numbers for a comparison, Alarcon managed to slot himself just behind one of the most alien performance of all. And, he managed to do it twice, which makes it way more impressive.
