Uran also pretty good after not being good yesterday. I suppose in addition to some people having spent more yesterday there's a big difference in how these guys handle steep and irregular gradients vs. steady climbs.

I think she doesn't add anything but she's bearable as she's not talking *** with the biggest self-confidence.
This. She's very close to joining Kirby as the second person on my insta-mute/not watch list, but at least she seems new to commentary and seems to be humble enough that she might improve.

Remco riding smart and very good climbing. He will still probably win the overall

46 seconds back on GC for Remco, and 28 seconds on Ayuso. In normal form, this is probably done and Remco will win the TT by enough, but atm, could end up 3rd (he's passing Gall on current time gaps)

It's true he's not in Giro shape, but nevertheless hardly makes the case he's going to get to a level where he's competitive with Ving and Pog at the top of the GC heap. And I'm a fan, not a hater.
totally fair.

no idea how he will eventually do against vingo and pog.

but judging him on today as if it is final potential is simply ridiculous. how was pog at san sebastian last year? should we judge him on that? should we judge Vingo only on Paris-Nice this year?

Remco is the only one who is judged on every single performance, no matter whether he had Covid, hasn't been to altitude recently, had ten days off the bike.

and people wonder why he doesn't want to go to the TDF in ill-prepared...

I think Skjelmose has by far the best chance to win from here. I can't see Evenepoel in this shape gaining 46 seconds in a 25km TT and Skjelmose gained time on Ayuso on stage 1 so I think he should be able to keep him behind too. Not over yet but I think Skjelmose is in a very good position now.

What an incredibly weird race. Three mountain stages and three completely different power dynamics. I really feel sorry for Gall who was the most consistently strong climber these last three days and will most likely not even finish this Tour on the podium.
I feel sorry for no one:
Skjelmose, Gall and Ayuso are currently 1-2-3 and have all won a stage.
If Gall wanted to really win the overall, he should have followed Ayuso, as he needed all the possible extra time anyway for the TT (on Skjelmose, Evenepoel)
Evenpoel is 4th and can win the overall, and if he doesn't, he's simply not worth it.

So everybody will go home with a prize he deserves.

Yeah I wonder why he didn't just do that
