I hope he can sign for a team where they won't tell him to focus on his sprinting abilities like Brailsford is doing.

I dont think that is Sky's plan but its been a bit hard with him getting injured two springs in a row. (yes he did sprint training over the winter but that can easily be aimed to him winning sprints from a breakaway group)

I've heard they told him to build upper body strength and focus on sprinting, but I don't have a link, though.

Have been looking at the translation of Sporza and lots of riders seem to be leaking. I assume this means a puncture rather than reporting each and every comfort stop:p:D

Yes, LOL, the google translate of puncture from Dutch to English is 'leak'. :p "Comfort stop" comes out as 'nature break' or something like that.

Yes, Boonen just punctured.

That sounds slightly disturbing, like they're nanobots or something.

Flecha did most of the work that day, Eddy did about 200m and very nearly made a mess of that. Personally I would have CJ or Hendo going for the win today but I guess they want to give EBH a bit of a confidence boost.

Mind you. Procycling.no are always biased.

Yes, they are very pro Edvald and pro Joker-Merida. In this case it came from a direct quote from Arvesen however.

I believe he said he was doing that and that he wanted to be better in a sprint. Nothing to do with Sky. He has the same coach as Hushovd.

Are you sure they have the same coach? I don't think so?

Sky is encouraging Edvald to be a pure sprinter and is not giving him the freedom to attack like he used to in HTC-Columbia. I hope Edvald doesn't waste his talents and become an almost pure sprinter in Team Sky like Hushovd was in Credit Agricole.

Odd time for an attack, but a Europecar and an Euskatel just got off the front.

Casaux and Gaudin

CHUTE! Rabos, Quick Steps and Cofidisers down. Boonen, Steegmans and Ciolek all hit the deck.

4 meters isn't a very big lead.
