Scoring heavily favours the overall so I'm going to pick one of the cheapest sprinters. Belletti maybe? At least Italians will probably try to finish the race.

Rules:

TEAM SELECTION CRITERIA

In order that each player creates a balanced team, the following two important constraints are placed on team selection:

- Team Budget

Teams are given 100 velocredits to select their riders. Velocredits are the Velogames currency. Each rider is given a value in velocredits, based on their prospective points-scoring abilities. The velocredits values are based on past results and recent form, with an emphasis towards those riders who have been successful in past editions of the Giro d'Italia.

- Rider Classes

Riders are split into 4 Rider Classes, which reflect their supposed strengths, weaknesses and role within their team. These categories are All-Rounder, Climber, Sprinter and Gregario (team-worker).

Each team must contain 2 All-Rounders, 2 Climbers, 1 Sprinter, 3 Gregarios and 1 Wild Card. The Wild Card selection may be from any rider category, and allows a team manager to specialise somewhat in the team they pick.

There are no other team selection criteria apart selecting 9 riders, staying within the 100 velocredit limit and making sure that the correct composition of Rider Classes is selected.


TEAM CHANGES

Once you have selected a team of 9 riders and they have started the Giro d'Italia, you may not replace them during the race.

There will be no rider substitutions during the race, even if riders abandon during the race. The 9 riders that you start the tour with will be the only riders who will score you points during the event.

Yuu can make unlimited changes to your team up until the entry deadline of 1400 CEST on Saturday 7th May 2011. Simply click the Change Riders button on your team page to reselect your squad.

Scoring System

500pts for the overall gc winner, down to 5 for 30th. 150pts for a stage win, and then points for climbs, sprints, etc etc

Well looking at my results in the classics I think that I did good... even If I pick some riders just thinking in the riders that I like and not the logical choice as picking Il Principe instead of picking Phil... and not picking both Schlecks... etc...

At the end I made position 60th in the overall and
Top 5 in Team Sky Fans minileague
Top 10 in CN forum league...
Good results tho... haha

Well I hope that I can do better in Il Giro and win again in the road.cc fantasy cycling... will be hard!

I'm in anyway with a super strong team but I might change and gamble seeing everybody will have the same or similar team.

Definately a tour (likely to have premium competition as well), definate vuelta, and "probably" an autumn classics as well.

The spring classics game was superbly done. Much improved on last year.

Pretty straight forward 50 points, pick 9 riders. Winner is the person with the most points at the end of the race.

Points awarded for stage places, GC, Mtns and points.
