Wiggins is still bullish about his chance, watch out other GC guys

“Physically everything is great,” Wiggins confirmed. “It’s better than it’s ever been. Hopefully now on the longer summit finishes I can put that into action - where it’s just down to the physical stuff rather than these tricky finishes like where we had the crash a couple of days ago."
He's starting to sound like politicians.

“It is what it is now,” he admitted. “We’re fourth and just over a minute off the lead with two weeks left of racing - perhaps the hardest two weeks. Taking the first week in comparison to what’s left in the Giro, you’ll look back in Brescia and go ‘well actually it was nothing’. I don’t think the gap will be 1’16” in Brescia. Whoever is in pink at the time the gaps will be quite considerable.”

I think mother nature will have the final say :D

Your post was about Nibali. Not Scarponi

I never criticized Nibali like a climber. He's just a survivor. A GT winner shouldn't be a mountain survivor IMO.

BS IMO. Third besr split for the flat section of the TT after Dowsett and Kangert = not 2012 Wiggins.

Wiggins is a mountain survivor much more so than Nibali, who is more agressive. So was Indurain tbh. I also prefer GT winners who are able to attack in the mountains btw.

Keep in mind though that the flat section wasn't entirely flat and non-technical. And also that the wind conditions changed.

Kangert started 13 minutes before Wiggo. I doubt wind was that different.
It wasn't an impressive performance overall, though I won't rule out him being among the best on the long climbs.

Sadly good enough to unsparingly ridicule descending skills of the champion of such a grandiose scale.

You just seem not to be able to stop ridicule yourself. Take that mask of, it is emberrassing.

On topic:
It is more who will not win. Wiggins is out, Hesjedal is out, same goes for Scarponi.

So, Cadel, Nibali, Gesink?

It will be fun today.

I specified 'in any GT componen (climbing and TTing). Wiggins is God at TT'ing, the man who implemented a revolutionary transformation.

Uh, Wiggins and Scarponi are still very much in contention at this point.

To think that Wiggins can win is embarassing here, but to say Wiggins is out million times is normal. :)

Damn, guys how deeply one can fall in one's sympathies? Though I adore to read this logic so to speak 'someone will never ever win because... he's not my rider' to laugh my heart out.

U just wrote "A GT winner shouldn't be a mountain survivor IMO" in that post, and thats exactly what Wiggins is. But anyways, what you are saying is that a GT winner should have one area where he excells to be worthy in your opinion? Its not enough be be good in all areas, he must be excellent in at least one (and descending doesnt cound) if I understand you correctly?

Take heed to this truth by 18-Valve.

We haven't had a mountain top finish and already those within 1m30 of the leader are written off as junk. Sure, Wiggins showed lack of focus and bike handling indicative of disaster, but haven't even seen a real mountain yet.

Why Scarponi is written off is a mystery to me, his test is today. I did not expect him to do any better in the first week, so I think his results are not indicative of bad form. We'll see today how good he is.

Glad you've finally seeing the light. Wiggins should not be considered a true GT winner.

Are you sober? If I were you, I'd reason more seriously instead of 'it is my rider so he will win they are all true, all others are enemies so they will never win'. It's pathetic. A bit of frankness: does flaws of bile really inspire you?

Do you have a mirror in you monitor? If not, I suggest u buy one.

Wiggins down.
Hesjedal down.
Scarponi down.

Cadel versus Nibali it is.

just as a side note, stage 10 pretty much exemplified my thoughts of gesink's career progression.

When he was younger whilst he was in the main group I used to want him to attack. Nowadays I just hope he doesn't get dropped

And once he attacks you wonder, 400 meters or 500 meters before hes caught and dropped. Catalunya was such a hope giving stage race as in that long range 12 km out attack, but I guess that'll happen only once a year :(

If Scarponi cracks another time before Niemiec Lampre should change their strategy. Niemiec was very strong today, without his help Michele would have lost more time. Niemiec was riding in the Nibali group when he was called back to pull Scarponi. Helping Scarponi costed him already more than a minute in this Giro :( I do not know if Lampre is playing the right card
