Good sportsmanship shown by LA in his post race interview:

“I was realistic. I knew what I could do. I could feel a little – those little twinges at the back of the leg. I knew if I tried to lift it too much I was going to pay a price and the next thing I knew I’d be walking. I’d rather get second than walk home and get seventh. I played it conservative – I knew he was going to have to make a big effort to catch me – he caught me and he deserved to win.”

To finish second to Docherty was a fantastic result. Though Docho is not an ironman specialist he has been an elite triathlete for years and ranked number one for a while.

Considering he would have finished about 37th had he been clean it's no wonder he's a good "sportsman!"

Lol a whole thread based solely on a twitter innuendo, classic.

Docho says it all really, the stories are BS so move on people, nothing to see here.

In isolation it would be bunk...but readers here are not hearing about LA for the first time, nor are you. His continual malevolence is unbelievable just like his performances and his results.

His continual malevolence shows what we all know, that this is a person who has serious mental deficiencies and i feel sorry that he procreated and they they will be the biggest ones to suffer such a personality.

Hey, I know I am coming to the party late on this one, but better late than never...

so just for info...from julie diben's twitter...

Ben @techknowgn
@juliedibens have you ever podiumed a 70.3 and not been tested? Since 2009, at least?

Julie Dibens @juliedibens Close
@techknowgn yes pretty frequently to be honest - only really at big races

....so much for the special arrangements for LA then

Also yet again I find it genuinely amusing at just how short the straws are that some are clasping at now regarding Doch and the "snub"....hey is that the same Doch that some were "questioning" here when he was endorsing New Zealand Red deer Velvet by any chance?....could it be?

@Benoitt....wow....dude...you are seriously angry aren't you? You wish Armstrong never procreated? You sound like a rejected lover. Something you want to share with us?

There has been an unwritten rule (or maybe it has been written by the mods) that you don't drag anyone's kids into a discussion.

Anyone who sinks that low for a post is......well, I'll let you make up your minds.

My opinion on that rancid post? Same type of stuff from that poster - not unexpected. No substance.

Very well put Cal...much better than i could manage....I am sure he will put our agreement down to "Obsfuscation" or some such, rather than just disgust.

Just report the post and move along....

Funny thing is that I did report it soon after it was posted. Don't know if the mods are busy or what. Decided to put in my opinion after no action and comments by others.

Actually, I am waiting for a new urban dictionary definition of "obfuscation" that defines it as an interwebs term that basically means "I don't agree with you but I am too lazy to actually respond to your post with any logical thought."

Ah ha ha, that's a good one, except the name is Benotti not Benoitt. Reading comprehension has always eluded you, hasn't it?

So "Ironman 70.3" just has different rules than every other pro sport? Why doesn't everybody do it then?
No testing sounds pretty close to the "Unlimited" class that people go on about.

Xterra and Ironman 70.3 huh?

Who won the world's at Ironman 98.6?

I am gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you meant eluded rather than what you wrote.
Sometimes I have been accused of attacking people for a lack of English skills, so before we go on, is English your primary language?

More are questioning the strange testing pattern.

Kai Walter, managing director of the Ironman headquarters in Europe, on the Bavarian Radio on Monday "But the fact is that the contract was there to conduct tests at least the top three."

Faris al Sultan, who won the 2005 Ironman in Hawaii is, the events "of course, a bit weird." ........."really an is explanation needed,"

Also, on the USADA case
According to USADA lawyer Richard Young, then have still not received any documents.

just to feed the conspiracy nuts

Is it possible that WTC didn't anticipate Armstrong placing in the top 3, so aimed lower in hopes of testing him and coming up with nothing, thus dispelling criticism re. his entry into triathlon? Then he proceeds to finish higher, thwarting their plans, but they can't come out and admit that they were attempting to target a specific athlete because that's not how such testing is normally performed.

Crazy idea, I know...which is why it belongs in this sub-forum! ;)
