Unless Ryo predicted he will be dropped today, I cannot see this happening

If you remember this

and this

And understand why did that happened, then you know that Contador is a leader and is most of the time loved and respected by his teammates.

From my POV, I dont think that Contador is always worried, he just race and feels the race, that's why he attacks, He doesnt have anyone telling him what to do. I can remember some interviews from Riis saying that Alberto attacked just cuz he felt that he had to do it and felt that he could gain sometime. Most of the time his attacks deliver something and that's quite impressive cuz that give you and idea that he knows how to read the race.

Contador has a very strong team, but he is wasting again his team all the Tour to be at the front and even sometimes control the race.. that is not possible along 3 weaks, and he will destroy the team again like in the Giro.. it is true that he issaving some riders, as yesterday Basso that just wirked at the begining but later he didnt mind to lose big time, but that way that kind of people at the end al the Tour will have all the work for them...

I don't think he used Majka yesterday either.

Well he lost around 18 seconds to Froome today. What do you all make of it? I personally think AC will get better. I don't like that fact that he is giving 4 seconds there 18 here though. Hoping tomorrow he can gain some time back.

Is it panic time, Flor? Not looking good on that climb. Unless he's trying to save something for the last week, I'd expect him to be at his best in the early part of the Tour, before the effects of the Giro really hit him.

I think he's in trouble. He's more than 30 seconds behind Froome already.

Reminds me of 2011, really. Just not quite there. But then again, he did get stronger at the end, then. Had a really good final ITT.

3rd day... contador doesn't impress me at the moment. Marginal ITT, and today he got out climbed by Tejay freakin' garderen!!!! I had a feeling that he would loose time today.. Darn, it did happen. Froome looked amazing. He wasn't that explosive but he motored up. Now contador is 36 seconds down on Froome on just the 3rd day. Tomorrow is another complicated day.

What have I got to do with anything in your post?

Good post ;) besides Froome won't make it to the finish line without a mishap....

Why wouldn't he? If Froome doesn't lose major time tommorow he will be a huge favorite for the win. And looking at how comfortable he was during echelons he should put more time into Contador and Quintana.
By stage 11 the GC will be over unless Nibali does something

Yeah, Tour over by stage 3, get out if that's your attitude. So many things can happen still.

Wow, amazing how quickly you guys give up on Alberto. I don't know what to say...

He just came from the Giro, from a hard Giro. Give him time. Anything can happen.

If he loses major time in the Pyrenees THEN we can say it's all over.

Issues with comprehensive reading? It will be over by stage 11.

Froome will put more time into AC where? You do know Tinkov was vital in helping those echelons start right? Froome was just a passenger. I can't see him being the one proactive in gaining time on flat stages; he has said himself he just wants to survive the first week. Now, of course in the mountains he will be active in taking more time out of his rivals.

Contador looking ridiculously weak, pretty much 2013 here. I was expecting him to lose time but not that much though.

He'll get better from here on, and the Giro will have a positive impact on him, that's the build up. I'm not worried yet.

One of the beauties of a 3 week gt is that it's 3 weeks long instead of 11 days. Anything can happen even after the 11th day.

I'm a bit disappointed. I was conscious he couldn't win but i expected him in top 5. I think we have to wait La Pierre to earn more about his chances to win TdF. But i'm already sure if he will be dropped again , it's over

Yeah, we're closer to 2013 than 2014, unfortunately...
