Really good one but unfortunate picture:

A new sponsor is rising.
Its victory is for Tinkoff.
This day the peloton will be scattered to pieces.
Ride to Fuente De!
Leave Katusha outside the time limit!
To the race!
There will be no dawn for Purito, in red.

There is worse things in life then being compared with a stabber of nazis.

The celebration was held in Pinto, a suburb in Madrid, not in Sol.
Alberto certainly has a lot of support from his neighbours, they seem to be proud to be associated with Alberto. On the other hand, Alberto himself is seen as "down to earth" by his neighbours in Pinto, despite all those high profile sport-star-celebrity status attached to him.

A Cervantes quote

"What dost thou think of this, Sancho?" said Don Quixote. "Are there any enchantments that can prevail against true valour? The enchanters may be able to rob me of good fortune, but of fortitude and courage they cannot."
(Sancho = Jesus Hernandez)

Ciclismo a Fondo is an utter joke. Bunch of sellouts writing nothing but panegirics 24/7.

Cycling magazine has winner of recent grand tour on its front cover. Well i never:eek:

Is there any other type of cycling journalism though? Its all - so and so won, did so like this, did it by this time, rider from our country finished here. end of story.

I didn't say that because they have Contador on their cover - obviously he had to be on the cover of every cycling publication this month.

I'm just saying, Ciclismo a Fondo sucks. 75% of its content is thinly veiled advertisement, the rest is just fluff pieces without any valuable insights or attempts at journalism.

They have cool pictures sometimes though.
