I wonder if someone will be asking the same of Sagan?

I imagine these would've been banned as well.

In the future, scenes such as this should be eliminated as well. Clearly this an attempt to make light of the killing of Cecil the Lion. (The Kiss of Death)

When asked if he would reconsider his salute by Huffington Post UK...
Which is also suggests the anticipation of Alberto winning at least one stage in next year's TdF. :)

No one said anything about banning.

Well I guess that shows CN is not alone in using terrible Spanish>English translators. Painfully unidiomatic.
?
Surely, the Huffington Post article doesn't read as natural English to you?

True. I should've used the word "discouraged."

I understand the sensitive nature of the gesture for some, given the timing of events, but I just think it's unnecessary for Contador to be pressed on this issue when the race in question won't even happen for another eight months. It seems a bit over-reactive to me, and it easily fuels the fire of those who dislike Contador to begin with and have complained about this gesture in the past. Now they can pretend to have even more of a reason.

Does that mean he's planning on winning the stage in Paris?

yes, with margin of 5 minutes and thus win the GC too. 2 men breakaway - he and Sagan.

this would be....absolutely brilliant.

Lol dropping his victory salute because of the Paris terror attack is just stupid.
It's stupid anyway so as long as he stops doing it then it can't be a bad thing
Well, that I do agree with. However, stopping because of a terror attack? Makes no sense.

He said he would stop if it offends people in france. I think he only said in france and only if it offends them.

What's wrong with that? Some journalist prob asked him the question and he gave the politically right answer.

OK, I guess that helps his case then. Initially I just saw it as a bit of a publicity stunt. I mean why not stop with the salute after one of the other thousands of terror attacks that have occured since he started his career?

Can't disagree with you on that. Stop it because of what happened in Paris? No! Stop it because he looks like a tit? Yes :D

The Huffington post Journo asked him about it. Of course he can't say "No I don't think that's necessary" people would lose their minds if he said that.
Another case of "whatever he says someone will take offense"

Everything is over the line nowadays, whilst people being too easily offended is one of the major causes of problems in the first place

Looks like Lars Seier (CEO of Saxo Bank) and Bjarne Riis are starting a new project. Newspaper Ekstra Bladet have written this article, learning that Riis is starting the project very soon: http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/cykling/riis-barsler-snart-med-nyt-projekt/5858064 Lars Seier has also postet a picture on facebook, with Bjarne Riis, Bjarne Jensen - who was organizer of sponsorevents in Riis Cycling A/S, and Lars Seier himself.

Possibly a place for Alberto as Sports Director in 2017, or maybe another year on the bike under the leadership of Riis. What do you guys think?

Maybe Alberto would consider giving them a High Profile with a year on the bike, but I think he has other ideas beyond being a DS. I'd love to see Bjarne, Saxo and Alberto all together again!

Yeah sure. My hope is just to see the guys united, and finally winning that TDF together! They sure deserve it after what they have been through!
