I can accept having the 2010 Tour removed, after all that's where he failed a drug test, but retroactively removing the Giro 2011 is BS. Scarponi doesn't even consider that Giro his.

Yea

Closer than I would have expected

Just curious...would you have posted this if the results had been reversed?
The interesting result is that there is an even split in opinion, in a large sample (although there are of course selection effects so we can't generalise to the 'cycling fans' population). Reversing the result would mean that some 20 people vote the other way, which is close to meaningless.

Confidence interval ranges from 49 to 53% or something like that. Just saying. And I do wonder why you keep bring stuff like this up, they're differences in opinion of the kind that the two sides will never agree. If you want to stick to the facts, there's photographic evidence containing a collage of 9 pictures in this thread. Flo posted (multiple times I guess)

Are we allowed to discuss this here?

The facts are, he has won 7. Many people are of the opinion that he is the winner of 9, but the official records which contain the facts state 7.

The discussion of whether AC has won 7 or 9 GT's should probably be done in the clinic, as the fundamental reason why there's even a discussion at all is a direct result of a doping related ban.

There's a difference between toeing the line and crossing it and in my opinion this line of discussion is crossing due to the nature of the ban.

Didn't know that there was such a large crossover between cycling and Nascar fanbases.

Nascar is boring as *** just like cycling most of the times these days lol

The Poll is a BS. Bertie raced and won. Armstrong raced and won. Landis raced and won. Riss raced and won.
Spot the difference?

Load of hypocritical BS.

No chance for a Q and A tonight, so didn't get to pose any of your well thought out questions but I can report Berto is looking pretty slender and pretty focussed. Was a good night.

BTW - if any of you chaps are in need of some chamois cream, I'd be happy to send the stuff i was given as a freebie last night. I've never needed the stuff in many months of long distance cycling, so I think your need might be greater than mine. I suppose I should give Ferryman first dibs, since he sent me that t shirt but let me know. I'll pay postage - consider it a Christmas prezzie for fans of AC.

I'm glad to hear it was a good time and Alberto looks good :). Do you have any pictures to share by any chance? Did he speak English? Did you meet him?

Couple of v. grainy photos - I really don't bother with them, because I hate having my picture taken, and just want to enjoy what I'm doing not seeing it through a damn screen. Plus who likes a camera / tablet shoved in your face?

Yes, he spoke English, and yes, I met him. He was lovely. Also his brother. Total sweetheart. (I sent you a PM)
