Contador likes to compete and with that in mind I can't imagine him showing up for an event in less than competitive form and a battling mindset. I really can't recall a race where he didn't at some point make his presence known. He's not one to ride in the pack for base miles--unless he has in fact lost his motivation to a certain degree of which I'll believe it when I see it.

Maybe he has lost some motivation :( If So, hopefully being back in a race will get the competitive juices flowing and he will rediscover his desire.

He isn't getting any younger you know.....

How do you guys come up with this?

If he doesn't try to win T-A then start coming up with this ****.

He even tried to win the eneco tour, 2 weeks before the vuelta which was his only goal. So really on what do you guys base yourself?

It's an insult to Contador's greatness to consider this

And next week btw all of you will go fanboy crazy when he wins

Paulinho looks like Noval's fat brother. Christmas must have been really good for him.

This year just for funsies he will go after the Ardennes Classics and pull off the triple. Then win the Giro & Tour + World Champs. 2013 will go down as the most impressive year ever.

Bertie earned 290 WT points in his very abbreviated 2012 season (Eneco and the Vuelta); finishing 12th in the rankings. As has been pointed out, none of those points counted towards Saxo UCI license.

Thanks to you and La Flo, but I was speaking to the other poster's suggestion that even though AC doesn't get points, can he suck up points and keep other riders from getting them (I presume there are more points for 1st than 2nd and so on). It sounds to me that he can in fact deprive others, but to what end (the points WILL be handed out and they WILL count, where his points will NOT).

Anywho, thanks. I can't wait until there is no controversy surrounding his performance.

Clinic aside, talking about what he said at the end.

5:10 It will be a tougher race to win for Wiggins when Contador comes back

I would say pretty much impossible lol, and then he says Froome will be this year stronger and such. Not even adressing the whole issue that Froome was actually way better in the climbs

He's right though that tour 2009 had a way harder field.

But come on dude, Wiggins is the challenger. He and Froome need to prove themselves. It's like they make it out that it's reverse.

Maybe i'm looking too much into this :)

Well, he is the defending champion, Froome has a 2nd at Tour and Vuelta as best results and Contador hasn't won the Tour since 2009 (2010).;)

Since when does that **** matter? Especially since Contador is the greatest GT-rider of this generation and the fact that he wasn't there in '12.

Just ridiculous.

Is anyone talking about hesjedal for the giro?

Cool pics btw lol

lol @ Paulinho and Noval:eek:

are you really surprised?

there has to be a reason why a guy that at 24 won an olympic medal being the only rider capable of following bettini on a hilly course leaving behind nobodies like ulrich, vino, valverde and erik dekker amongst others only became an anonymous domestique.

his only shown of talent after that was the 06 vuelta, which happened to be his first GT and still is his best performance ever in a GT.

a friend of mine who knows him says he has the ambition of your average garbage picker  never tried to improve or impose himself in a team.

Who is the fat guy on the left hand side of the pic? Please tell me that isn't a cyclist! Dude needs to lose 50lbs to be normal weight.
