Are these two travelling around the world together now? First Dubai, now Argentina then what....?
"Capri" C'est fini. Don't worry it will get to a point when Alberto will go and the other'(S) won't be able to follow him.

are you really surprised?

there has to be a reason why a guy that at 24 won an olympic medal being the only rider capable of following bettini on a hilly course leaving behind nobodies like ulrich, vino, valverde and erik dekker amongst others only became an anonymous domestique.

his only shown of talent after that was the 06 vuelta, which happened to be his first GT and still is his best performance ever in a GT.

a friend of mine who knows him says he has the ambition of your average garbage picker  never tried to improve or impose himself in a team
.

similar things can be said about Popovych

just change the Olympics with roubaix U23 and the Vuelta 06 with the Giro 03

I think a manager like Riis will change that. Seeing Paulinho work during the Vuelta 2012 was a joy, and surely he looks like he found more joy in riding his bike now, than he have for a very long time.
Can´t wait for the season to start ;)

Who is the fat guy on the left hand side of the pic? Please tell me that isn't a cyclist! Dude needs to lose 50lbs to be normal weight.

That is one Serghio "hey hey hey" Pauhlino (hopefully you get the Fat Albert reference there) :p

Berto!

“My expectations are different from last year because the idea is to fine tune and adjust my weight, since I'm a few kilos over. But that's normal in January. It's true that I like to compete if I see an opportunity. I can hardly stop myself if I have god legs but I'm a bit overweight and when it comes to uphill finishes, it's all mathematics. "

He is fat again :D

"then the team will analyze the possibilities of riding some of the classics or go to the Giro.”

 il giro... are you crazy?!

Tbh I hope not. At Tour, if he's not there Froome will tear it apart. If he's there, we might have one of best Tour or at least not as boring.

At Giro, he'll dominate probably and I can't see him challenging that much Froome at peak after Giro.

if he goes to il giro he won't be there to win (of course he'll try but he won't peak), he has said many times that le tour is his primary goal

yep. that's why it'd be awesome to have AC not at 100% fighting for the Giro against a peaking Nibali and Wiggins.
If AC targets the Giro the game is over already :p

Contador at 90-95% is enough but how do you stay on that form exactly?

I've no idea.

If Contador did that, it would be the one scenario with him doing the giro that i would like.

You're overrating Contador.
He needs to be at his very best to defend over 55,5k flat and straight tt against Wiggo in top form.
Also, Wiggo at his best won't lose hours on climbs (not even if Contador is also at his best).

We're in new era now. Era of Sky's "marginal gains" and Contador's reasonable time trials.

Does the giro 2011 count in the new era? ;)

At that point the clinic-stuff already happened, so what changed since then?

Sky? Oh yeah, being on par with Nibali is a real feat, once again remember giro 2011?

You can forget the 2011 Giro and take a look at Vuelta 2012. Yes, he won it, but far from the fashion we've expected.
Contador has never raced against Wiggo and Sky when they're targeting a race. So, every conclusion is unfounded and pure wishful thinking.

P.S.
Era of Contador's reasonable tts has nothing to do with suspension. It started earlier... About when he realized he overdone it by beating Cancellara.
You can remind of latest World's tt too. That's, more or less, it.
