This is the same website that in 2011 put Frank Schleck as facourite for the tt heavy paris nice saying that he would win it if he wanted, but then said that Samuel Sanchez lacks the time trialing skills to compete.

Can tell the article is crap just taking a quick look at it. Only 3 starts for Contador? Really? The same they gave Tejay and VDB. I look forward to reading the full article later and having myself a good laugh. :D

Slap on your face, LOL SKY can scientifically revolutionize training, so can SKY push the W/Kg envelop. And all those W/Kg is only speculation, nobody(at least no official organization) really use them as a standard test. Wait for jaw-dropping performance from AC or Froom, I am ready!

why is he wearing a tt helmet in these pics :p

Alberto Contador ‏@albertocontador 3h
This will be our new helmet for flat and medium mountain stages, very aerodynamic.I like ;-)

oh dear parrulo was right oh dear

horrible just horrible why the new helmets when they're gonna wear these anyway. Plus they are super ugly of course, god these things need to get banned. Maybe UCI should say $100000 fine and 3 month ban for anyone who wears these things :p

Nibali wear similar helmet in the Giro, I actually quite like the design.

yes a brown one;), guess the product is so new, they don't even have time to do custom paint job for Nibali

It was in the testing phase still when Nibali wore it.

I don't think they're too bad, they look much better with a custom paint job on them.

I like it, I thought it is pretty cool looking even without custom paint job. I would spend money to buy it.:)

they just look so massive. they might be a bit more aero but they look 3x as heavy :D

Haven't seen the specialized one, but the Giro air attack actually feels very light. I think they are a very good light alternative for uphill TT's. All the aero benefit without the extra weight a full TT helmet brings.

Though how much more aero is it really. I don't think it gives a big benefit. Just marginal gains you know. Or as I like to call it, marketing BS :p

Well, according to Specializes research, riding with their helmet saves you 46 seconds over 40km. And they have sprint, power, and speed graphs to prove it.

But for the top riders (and most other riders) you got figure they could do just as well with a standard road helmet. Everything is "aero" now though, it sounds cool and it's popping up everywhere (from bikes to helmets to shoes). The big benefit I see is for uphill TT's; but I agree, for the most part it's just marginal gains and marketing. Contador could wear a normal road helmet and do just as well.
