it probably saves 1 sec over 1000 km:rolleyes: marginal gains and all that

needless to say I don't really believe in that sorta stuff

Not even that one second. Aerodynamics don't matter much when you're sitting in the bunch, as long as you don't get exposed to the wind you'll be dragged along in the peloton just as you would normally have done. Source = track cycling.

When a reporter asked Contador if he's ready he instantly said "Yes".

Maybe i'm looking to much into this but the man seems to be really ready :D

Maybe his English just improved and his thrilled about it. That could be the reason for the shorten answering time:p

I recognize that shoe's (the fit) is quite personal. You're saying that the particular color (red and white) of Contador's shoes is personal to him? I wonder they represent to him?
Riders choose which brand of shoes they will use personally. It's not a part of the team equipment.

tbh the big problem i saw in the "article" (aside from the insinuations that Contador cant compete because cycling is clean now) was Cadel Evans being ranked as the 2nd favourite ahead of Contador.

Even the most partisan Ozzies don't see it that way. He is 36 years old, never been the best climber, been on the decline since he won the Tour and just done the Giro to boot.

Pretty cool! I wonder why they chose the spanish colors.

They're not the Spanish colors, although from far away it does look like the Spanish colors, but in fact they're the Vuelta, Tour, and Giro colors... so red, yellow, and pink... I found these two pictures of the bike...

I have said always I see Evans the second strongerst after Froome. It is almost impossible he can beat Froome becouse he is 36, but anyway he is very good and he could beate all the others. For me Valverde is the third with Hesjedal. Anyway Froome see Contador as his main rival, so I respect that and it is very likely Contador will be protagonist of the race and even could win.

OMG!!! What a hoot; guess he rode them all off his wheel and made a wrong turn...ROTFL!

"According to today's L'Equipe newspaper, Alberto Contador got lost during his first training ride in Corsica, leaving the team in panic.
The Spaniard apparently got lost in the hills above Porto Vecchio and the team was unable to find him or contact him for a while. The team gave him a two-way radio to ensure he did not get lost again."

Hahahaha just imagine the other guys looking for him thinking "ohhhhh ***... Riis is going to kill me"

It´s funny, I just scrolled down the article and when I saw this:

Also watch out for...
Robert Gesink
Age: 27
Team: Belkin
Home nation: Netherlands

Then I just knew I can´t take anything from there seriously.

Ok Froome is the topfavorite, but that's just ridiculous. Oh well why would i take a journalist serious when they say contador is 28 years old? ;)
