So Contador didn't feel the same sensations in Corsica, if that's the case then why was he still saying during the tour the sensations were getting better and better when he knew that wasn't the case?

He shouldn't have lied like that :(

Giving me false hope was cruel lol

I haven't heard him mention his sensations once.

I'm sure he did though just to give you false hope

Alberto Contador ‏@albertocontador 17 july
Today needed very little to get it, but could not be, sensations continue to improve, this is good. Now,3 hard days ahead.

Don't lie to yourself laflo.

Lombardia today, praying for an attack :(

I was wrong. Still, perhaps his sensations improved, it doesn't mean his sensations were as good as before the Tour.

Apparently Contador has agreed to a pay cut

http://bt.dk/?article=27035716-Riis-tvinger-Contador-ned-i-loen-saa-meget-mister-han

10 to 15% the article says

That would mean he'd go from ~€3.3mln to somewhere between ~€3mln (10%) and ~€2.8mln (15%)

Also interesting, Specialized apparently pays ~€2mln on top of that. So if the rumors about Kemo are true, and Specialized are really dropping Saxo AND Contador, Contador is in for a close to 50% paycut because I can't imagine Kemo becoming a personal sponsor to Contador.

You did note the source for this speculation piece right? :D

I highly doubt Contador makes any statement about his form/fitness based on what he thinks the fan reaction would be. It's all mind games for his competitors and to keep his teammates motivated.

Since his ban he's had more cramps than during the other 9 years of his career

Yes, he isn't an 18 year old anymore and getting your fitness right becomes harder every year.

You're too young and pretty to be so cynical... :)

Lmao, whatever :p

You're talking about him as if he's 38 :p

If you don't accommodate age, at 18 you can do anything, at 25 you wish you hadn't, by 30 you feel really rough, 35 you need a week to recover, come 40 the doctor is giving a you the serious face. :)

If he finds the right balance he will still do well imho, and if not he remains a huge asset as a mentor to the team, which while not a physical victory, it's a victory through transference none the less.
