Of course he´s not gonna go out there and say I win the Vuelta, the guy is to humble to do that, and honestly he can´t either be 100% sure where his form is compared to the rest, so he just do as he always do, play the underdog and the second they hit the mountains he goes bananas like the road runner and that´s the last they see of AC´s back wheel that day... :D

I think he's been quoted before as saying that winning isn't all about form. It's also about good luck (no mechanicals, crashes, etc.). Anybody can lose on any given day for a variety of reasons, which is why he always hedges.

Of course, I just recall his comment to klostergaard just before the Giro 2011 when he asked Alberto: "How you feel Alberto" and reply was short: "I´m ready"
And what a display we got, and it was the same humble Alberto we heard then, "I do my best, and I will try to win"... but of course, out of competition for 6 months, you have to get the feel of the peloton and stay out of trouble, anything can happen.

Can't wait to see him dance up them mountains. It's almost as good as watching Kiryienka - we all know he has the best style on a bike in the peloton.

He'll already dance up the Muur in a week, displaying his awesome power. :D
I doubt if he can hide himself for a week, that's not his style.

Imho he'll contend for GC this week...just saying. :)

Ok so Alberto's ban really ends this night 00:00, Alberto was not allowed to take part in the team presentation. Stupid UCI, childish really.

Quite stupid in fact!! But what must we expect from those arses?????

Anyway, the long walk has ended! Tomorrow the King returns and with him the attacking mode!

But let´s not ask too much of him! Of course we all (those who are his fans) expect him to win everything but he´s just returning and getting the feeling of the peloton again!

I think it was ligid, it wasn´t a team presentation but Alberto in person who had invited for this press conference, it was done as a civil person as far as I understand it, and it´s not UCI business.

The rogue is back... cycling was better off without him.

I hope that all the guys who proved to be stronger than him in 2011 (A. Schleck et al) + Froome and Wiggins will kick him right back out of competition in the coming year...
