Lombardia please Velasco!!!

any race that gain WT points is good. As long as they don't send him to Tour of Beijing. Rogers case makes me nervous. If Bertie got that again, it will game over for him.

Anyone has any opinion about Roche? Sky is in hot pursuit for Roche. If sky thinks highly about Roche, that means his number is high. And he got a potential. (sky has a history of making no name rider to suddenly a super domestique or a star). Do you think Roche will leave Alberto? Or he stays? Out of Roman, Nico and Rogers, Nico is the one that seems to be wanting a leadership at GT?
Depends on whats his motivation.Money?Leadership?Grow?
I think he should go to a small team like IAM there he can choose what GT to ride for gc etc
His transfer to Sky doesnt make sense imho,he said (2012) he wanted to learn something for 2 years and then be a leader in other team.

Some guy on twitter, aparently on vacation at Lugano, saw AC riding his bike around the city twice, once with the tinkoff kit and the second time in his neutral kit. It looks like he is sure it's him, he says he still had the knee bandage.

Your thoughts? Can this be realistic? The guy seems like a true cyling fan but you never know

Sometimes I imagine his wound healing quickly (it's already been more than 2 weeks since the unfortunate crash), and I think he might try to deceive the Vuelta favourites so that they don't take him too seriously :D
I's just me overthinking it :p

Edit: For sure I'd rather he fully recovers from the crash. But if he already doesn't feel the pain anymore (which is very very unlikely) then...

That would totally Rock.......I just don't want to see him come back to early and do long term damage, and get beat by Froome as a result :(.

It's true that Contador always underestimates his own chances to deceive his opponents. It would be funny if Contador his tweet last week was a lie but i doubt it.

What advantage would it give him? His opponents will prepare the same whether they think he is coming or not.

I don't know, ask him, he always does it. Give me one interview where he says he's the big favorite to win a race.

If i should guess, that way the public won't expect anything from him and there's still an element of surprise if he performs.

Neutral kit??? It's hard to believe (almost impossible) Alberto would be out training in one of his kits. Alberto has previously stated that he always trains in his team kit and nothing else. He says that he owes it to the sponsors for supporting him and the team. And it's also really hard for me to believe he would be out training already. Of course he knows what's best for him right now but hopefully he's still resting on his sofa right now.

If he were a true cycling fan he would at least taken a picture with his phone and shared it with the rest of us fans especially considering he claims to have seen him twice.:(

It seems that the guy was telling the truth!

Hello all,I'm going on with recuperation,I can already flex the knee and am starting to take contact with the bike!

What should we take from this? Vuelta possible? He still has 22 days.

I think it's possible if he can seriously train in 7 days orso but we've no clue what exactly contact with the bike means. 15 min ride or 3 hours? And how intense? No clue.

The bolded..

My guess is that he will only ride if Kreuziger rides, and then yes -as domestique...

Imagine the panic in peleton when Contador rides of as a hare for Roman :D

Let's take our hope low. So far it means nothing. He might just put his leg on the pedal on stationary bike. Nothing more. Let's wait until we see he said "back in training". Now.. then.. we can have our hopes up again..:D

Unless he's right now able to and is doing the 3 hour or more rides with efforts and all that stuff that training involves, then 22 days may not be enough for him to get into a form that would let him compete for the win.

The hope that he didn't lose too much of his conditioning in his time off the bike and can get back to form relatively fast would give him the best chance of being able to compete for the overall in the Vuelta.

Another point that should play in his favour is his total freshness, he didn't complete a single GT, he only raced 1 week on the Tour and missed all the mountains so he has got to be relatively fresh compared to the other favourites (except Froome).

The guy broke his tibia and some are already starting about the ''advantage'' he's got ahead of his ''opponents'' GC wise in the Vuelta:confused:

If he manages to get in form somehow (which is unlikely), then his freshness would be an advantage.

Contador can probably get through the first five stages of the Vuelta without having to do much, but on stage 6 he would need to be going. 27 days until stage 6.

Yeah ok. But it's huge unlikey, nearly impossible. And if he's able to do so, then it's the question if it's good for him to do anyway. Making your comeback in a Tour of Beijing, and focus trully on 2015 looks better to me.
