yeah i saw this on his twitter. Good thing is he starts training. For god shake, next year challenge is more than his 2014! For all the talk about AC giro-tour. I'm all for him doing that. If he won both of them, then he can die anytime and go to heaven.. *kidding* just figure speech. If he won one, he is still a legend. Even if he doesn't win either, he is still a legend. But of course I want him to win ahead of Nibali, so we can drop this discussion about Nibali kicks AC ****, or AC kicks Nibali **** (well so far GT performance AC has won it over Nibali. Of course I will bias to the latter comment :D)

Contador's Top Tips to Win the Tour de France

The man really loves his job :).

Nice Vid, nice guy. The 30K this year doesn't surprise me but I just love the fact he knows there is precisely 33 days between the end of the Giro and July. This guy has analysed everything and will be ready. May be, not enough to take on Nibali and Quintana, but he will be there as a favourite, no doubt.

Froome??

He will be a bigger favorite than Nibali and Quintana

Obviously some people have quite different views than most other people. Naming Nibali and Quintana as Contadors biggest rivals isn't strange, unless you forget to mention Froome ofcourse :)

I guess he just thinks Froome won't deliver.

And what did his body language say to you?

All you need to do is watch after the interviewer asks: Are you going to win the Tour de France?

Btw, can anybody tell this Bloomberg interviewer in cycling we use kilometers?

Really? If I hadn't lived there I wouldn't have noticed...unless of course I hear first an unprepared Bloomberg interviewer. ;)

He's more confidently talking about Giro than the Tour.
Maybe he'll skip the Tour at the end, who knows.
I think he'll wait to see how his and his rivals' seasons develop and make the final decision.

Looks like he's realized winning the double is more difficult than he thought it is.

I guess the skyfans still don't realise pro cycling existed before 2012. You can at least do an effort and look at 2011. It will reveal some very interesting info. You can do it skyfan, i believe in you.

hmm.. i watched this video several times. There's nothing wrong with his body language and his answers. The question is are you going to win TDF? his answer is spot on. He will try. No one can say .. yes, i will. (well, that's kind of arrogant answer isn't it?) He is then elaborate the fact that he only has 33 days after the Giro. And that's not enough. All I heard from his interview is ... what he said is fact. The odd to win it is against him, that's the fact. So he does answers to the question how most people will answer when you are asked that type of question. Does he mean that he can't win it? No one can say that either. Based on fact and history is tough to win double. But that's what challenge means. You have the risk to fail but the reward are worthy.

If I were him, I would say the same thing. Because there's no way you can answer it: Yes, I will win it. Even someone like Froome, Nibali, Quintana who aren't going to Giro, I bet none of them will answer that question with a sure answer. Nibali has said he is going to defend his TDF. Does it mean he is saying he will win it? No. But that's what he wants to do. Same with Contador. He said I will try to win it.

And for me, as long as he has the motivation and he is going to try, I know the road will decide if he can do it. If anyone can do it, then it is Contador.

it's a nice interview.

as far as miles, in the US we use miles. I put my Garmin cycling computer in miles instead of km (even though my native country uses km). Because all the measurement here is in miles. Making my bike computer in km, give me headache since I don't have a concept of how far is 1km. But I do know how far is a mile. That might be the reason why the bloomberg guy might have said 'how many miles'. Because it's natural to him. just my opionion.

Exactly. How many contenders go into a grand tour stating that they are going to win?

And to the sentence in bold, you really shouldn't even have to explain that but considering who you're responding to I'm not surprised.
