I had an 'in' with CSC and was invited to corporate tent every race in USA; have met Bjarne, Bobby J., Jensie, etc.... Then Saxo took over and it was all gone :(

I rewatch the ITT and I confirmed again what I see at Eneco Tour's ITT, his position is better than before, he still lacks some power but I see as he has improve his TT

It´s also what Berto says, Bjarne made a few changes they tried out, and he gained some seconds pr. kilometer by doing that.

Yesterday he was the fastest on the first flat part, it will be interesting to see him at the worlds in top shape and with no more lack of racing speed.
I think he will do very well.

I'm already saying it for a long time and i'm going to stay with it.

He's going to become WC TT. No Wiggins and No Cancellara.

Froome will be out of gas, Martin doesn't seem to be in top shape as he was last year.

And the course really fits Contador, always up and down. It's made for him.

So yeah Contador as World Champion TT. Each champion needs to become WC one time.

So, after today, what is our opinion about him?

Given that it was a rather short climb he did all the right things IMO. He closed the gap which Purito created rather effortless and once he saw the guys behind closing he drove as hard as he needed to maintain this gap. After this he looked like he was not trying to follow Rodriguez once he started his sprint, which could be excused.

The general impression to me is that he looks a bit more comfortable now. Cant wait for Saturday.

I still haven't seen yesterday's TT but his style before could be very nerve wracking for a fan to watch with that perpetual 'resetting' of his backside. I doubt that is gone for good but I am interested to see what yesterday looked like. His tt was excellent before, don't get me wrong.

But much less often, from what I observed yesterday.

As far as his overall condition I think he is improving day by day. Plus he is confident in his recovery so isn't afraid to stretch himself to enhance fitness gains.

Saturday will be the big tell, and I'm hoping he has reached a point where he can attack and then hold/extend the gap :) If not on Saturday he still has 2 more stages to make the difference!

Lol everyone wants a pic of Alberto, even the person of the guardia civil :D

And look how fast he is

Yeah - it's so crazy that apparently this guy wanted a picture of someone taking a picture of Conti. That's a proper fan... :)

I'm not sure I would like to have been there. I mean, how many hours do need to be there to get a good enough spot to actually see anything? And what if you happened to blink at the wrong time? - You would've missed him completely!

Reminds me of the heights of my own stupidity. I was standing by a red carpet for hours to catch a glimpse of Madonna some years back - freezing in the cold - then, being a bit curious, I asked one of the cops if he knew when she'd arrive. "Who? Madonna? She came several hours ago - went in through the back door". Doh!

Wait a minute... He's got a giant motorised bike attached at the end - it's even got a driver on it! That's cheating if anything is... Incredible nobody noticed this while he rode...

Okay I watched the recording....yes he does it LOL! In clusters. On the flat before the climb he did it twice, 5xs in a row in the space of 10-15 seconds. On the climb he did it once, reseating 3xs straight. Shots of the flat on run in were to far away to tell.

I counted a total of 13 times...great stage I watched the final 4 all the way through :)

I wouldn't say that to Roger de Vlaeminck if I were you. ;)

Although knowing him, he'll bring up his cyclocross world titles.
