judging from current situation, AC has to further reduce his attack range. Maybe dig a big one from 1.5K or 1.2k, hopefully sneak a few seconds and plus bonus difference from JR. Play on safe side, after two stage maybe can get even. But JR seems super strong at finish too.

Contador has the victory if he use Majka as last man and not his countrymen friends.

When Majka end his first turn Navarro and Hernandez were useless and Purito could do a calm climb

Indeed...he still lacks the stamina to make the attacks stick :( Wait longer, get the gap and Hold It!!!

Frankly I saw the head tilt at 7km and he did a lot more than I was expecting from that point on. He is giving it Everything he has, just doesn't have enough yet. Hopefully the form will come before this race ends.

Meanwhile Jrod is looking STRONG and it may be his time...we shall see...

This Vuelta really shows that AC maybe could need a real super domestique. He needs someone to pull a really high speed up to the 3 km mark and attack from there. This attacking and slow speed thing that he is forced to use now doesnt stick it

I can see Alberto cracking very hard at some point.

The only guy that will crack Alberto, is Alberto. He will try to crack them all so hard he may blow himself up...only way I see him cracking very hard.

I think it will happen on Monday.. He went very deep today, he'll pay for it later on.

I know you dont like Kreuziger, but he won the Vuelta for Nibali on the mountain we have tomorrow, and of course has a TDF top 10.

Nicholas Roche also can be a superdomestique, and Majka too.

Roche and Kreuziger are no help in this race. SaxoTinkoff has use their brain and leave Majka as his last man from now on.

Again, those little interviews that Contador does at the end of the stage are very limited cause he doesn't like to give much away. So like always, he likes to state the obvious, which was taking time on Valverde and Froome. And unfortunately, he couldn't do the same to 'Purito'. He also had some good sensations and felt good on today's stage.

- "No ha sido posible, 'Purito' está impresionante, no he tenido malas sensaciones, todo lo contrario, pero ha sido un día muy duro. Podíamos haber sacado más diferencias"

- "Me he encontrado bastante agusto"

I do not have anything against Kreuziger, and think he is a very good rider. I just get abit frustrated when he wants to be (and is allowed to) be a leader when he clearly does not have what it takes to win (or even top 3) anything really big. ;)
But yea, I agree Kreuziger, Roche and perhaps even Majka will be some very good help next year

He is indirectly stating that he's still improving:)

Of course he's improving but not fast enough to win the Vuelta. Maybe he'll be on top form in the Tour of Beijing

Moreno really is a problem for Contador, without him it would be way easier to crack purito.
