Maybe Contador do not want to show his numbers to the sky team... if he atack... skyborg scientistsborg can have an idea about his actual power and adjust their special training program..

In july we will see the real contador!!! Tormenta ahead! :D

Someone else up thread suggested the "dead fox" tactic. I think Riis is programming his son Berto. Ultimately, don't let the "scientists" at Sky get the read on Berto.

me too. watchful waiting.
I pray all this is indeed "watchful waiting" and not wishful thinking. I want to see Alberto win the 100th TDF edition. I will be there in Porto Vieccho, Nice, Albi and Bagneres de Bigorre where I hope he will already be wearing yellow

It is now "watchful watching" with my eyes closed. I don't think he's fully recovered from the flu to attack aggressively. Nice riding though as he's always at the business end of things.

I guess being second is also good for Contador. Better get used to it.

Heck it would be impressive if he can podium the tour.

It's over, let's hope he can win a stage this year.

Aargh, second? He is the reason I got obsessed with this crazy, brilliantly beautiful sport. Podium also good because it means we get to see him go crazy at some point.

You were taking conclusions too early imo.

Maybe i'm too. And i'm not sad, believe it or not but i'm always laughing at the sky-spectacle.

No real big attacks this week. Who would of thought that before the race?

At least he tried in Oman and T-A earlier in the year but couldn't make them stick and got stuck in the end. Looks to me mentally his confidence has been affected by this and is fearful of the same thing happening again here.

Yes I think so too though I haven't watch this race so don't know if he looked ok or maybe he was just not good enough to attack

”That was an intense stage with high pace from the start and groups of riders were dropped on the many climbs along the way. Our boys did what they could to stay in front and of course, we wanted to put in an attack but they simply didn't have the power. The cold weather was a fierce opponent and a lot of riders suffered – including Alberto and the strongest rider won the stage. Richie is obviously the big favorite on tomorrow's stage but I'm sure Alberto will do what he can to remain his position in the GC,” said Philippe Mauduit.

He should ride the Giro like Evans. Wiggins is very beatable on that Giro route. But to beat Froome, Porte and the rest of the Skyborgs at the Tour? No chance.
