I don't believe that Contador can beat Froome or Nibali on their top form, but his today's victorys is a good sign.
Furthermore, Tour will be better if we have the best Contador. The more guys challenge Froome, the more attractive will be the Tour.

Judging by your sig, Contador does.

Yeah, I don't get all the oohing and ahhing in this thread over Contador's performance today. He was a favorite for this stage going in. If anything I expected the time differences to be a bit bigger, more in line with 2010.

Well I certainly didn't expect him to win :) I think the oohing and ahhing is just because most of us are excited that Contador is showing signs of life :) no one except Jens believes this is the return of the old Contador :p

AC needs to just retire. If he wins the Tour(or any other important race) say next year, everyone will assume he's doped and won while doing so. Kind of pointless for him to continue on IMO.

Lol,he really doesnt matter.

Atm all I care about is that he won. His performance today is nowhere near as good as Froome's in Oman but who honestly believes he can beat him anyway?

A little tiny bit in most of us who visit this thread me think:)

LMFAO. You been smoking crack. Think you should let other people live there life how they see fit.

Great result for Alberto. Sure, it's not as impressive as Froome's victory, but it's a step in the right direction. I think that a lot of us want to see Contador on a par with Sky in July; would make for a fascinating tour.

That is not highly possible, but maybe it's a 10% chance...

Nibali will play no part at all in animating this years Tour. He will simply follow. If following means he places ahead of a man that is in the race to win it, to try , and to take risks, then so be it. placing like that is not worth a **** in my eyes.

It doesn't matter if he'll get his old form back. Watch Froome in today's stage in Oman. I got motion sickness from his acceleration.

It does matter because he would win if he had 2009 legs

Nibali, Valverde, Purito and Contador are all about equal, I think.

It's just that Froome is light years ahead. Quintana is somewhere in between.

Last year it was

Froome

Quintana
Porte

Horner

Purito

Nibali
Valverde

Kreuziger

Contador.

How i think it will be this year

Froome

Contador

Quintana

Porte

Nibali
Valverde

Purito

Pretty much agree, but would make porte and quintana switch place for this year.

Then there is Horner, can see you left him totally out for this year. That's very possible, but kind of a x factor to me. Don't know if his Lampre contract was that good, that Horner will now go back to "normal".
