btw, Jesus will most likely make the Tour team. He was the last TS domestique who stayed with Contador until around 5km to go. The rest .. dunno... I didn't see them as soon as the gradient started ramping up. As far as sky, they aren't impressive to me. I think TS has a stronger team.

I think they did. They both looked like on their limits already. Nonetheless, so far in my eyes they are matched. Froome is lucky that TDF got some flat ITT.

Btw I don't get why people called froome 'dawg'.. his suitable name should be: 'frowg' since he rides like a frog on a bike.

I guess it's because he was called back like a dog when he ran away from Wiggins in the Tour. Also I think there was a tweet from Cound saying something like "If you want a trusting dog, get a Froome dog."

I always thought it was because his constant looking down at his power meter was reminiscent of the dogs with the bobbing head that was a dashboard aftermarket accessory in many cars back in the 70's.

But after having read some parts of his book, I must admit I completely changed my opinions about him, I never liked him, I thought he was very untrustworthy and was hiding something. But now I just realized how twisted his mind really are and I will never call him by his name again. Call it childish, but thats how it is

Contador looks on track but boy was he suffering big time, true grit he shown he was losing that wheel so slightly at the end that is as impressive a win as we will see he bossed that stage. Reminded me when Ullrich could actually do that in the moutains early in his carear, although Froome is clearly a better climber than Jan.

It was humiliating to watch Contador owned by Froome like that. He didn't even try to attack him, which means that he's afraid to blow afterward. I realize the Spaniard is back after a 2 months liason from racing, so I hope he was just studying his adversary in preparation for a lethal attack to reestablish the heirarchy. Yet it is weird, because Alberto has always given it a go even when not at his best.

The reason I didn't like it, was because others at least took a risk to attack and because Contador was also passive behind Froome at Catalunya, needing a J-Rod to distance him. Not good for the future if he doesn't attack the Briton.
