That's nice but it will be another Grand Tour where he gets outalien'd. No way he has the form to win against a top form Froome. He should not do the Vuelta unless he wants Froome to inflict another psychological scar upon him (that risk always exists with Froome being as strong as he is, but if you risk a scar, the rewards better be worth it ie Le Tour)

Agreed.

Most of it, I want to see a more fair fight ... rather than.. ow you know what, he isn't 100% because he is injured.. and bla, bla, bla.. [fill in the blank], i can just hear the debate is going on to the next year among fans. (especially against Froome's fans).

I just don't see a way that Contador will be in good enough shape to take part in this Vuelta. I really can't see the point in him rushing back to just get beaten by Quintana and Froome over and over, it will get to the point where psychologically it could do more harm than he can recover from.

I'd much rather he takes his time and get's back into the shape he was in the first half of this year, then we can have a great battle next year.

is bertie doing veulta?

i know its a provisional list, but who makes this list? the team?

also, can you post the actual FB page of bertie?

Looks unlikely, hopefully Contador and the team are just screwing with us though and he ends up competing. :p But don't get your hopes up.

This is his official page.

Going for stage wins...maybe best to take off the pressure
However if he can get through the first 10 days without losing much time ...who knows could be there in the end

Imagine Froome will attack early like on on stage 6 , etc

Great to see 3 best GC riders at the moment in the one race

Best team without a doubt is Movistar

Didn´t expect that. But with Contador you never know. Tells a thing and does completely the opposite.

If he´s in good condition, he has to be considered as the favourite.

Vamos Berto! great news to see him participating in the Vuelta. I don't really care either way if he wants to go for GC or for stages, both are fine by me. I think he will be very motivated and should give some great spectacle in the race!

The knee bandage is all a trick, he's ready lol

Anyway give credit to the guy on twitter who said AC was training, he clearly wans't lying.

I don't believe he's gonna go just for a stage win, if he had that form he wouldn't ride the vuelta.

Legend. What a ****ing legend. And whats up with the whining that he'll might lose? Sure, thats always a possibility but he is there for the fight and wont shy

Just when you thought the man couldnt be bigger. The pistolero from Pinto is back

I have always said here Contador will be at La Vuelta and with a good condition.
I am happy to be right becouse is important for the race.

He has now the excuse if he cant be on the podium, it s what he was looking for, but he has been training one month before the Vuelta and he is more fresh than people as Valverde, that is for me the reality
