this is hillarious,about 4-5 riders (so far) from Burgos said in interviews Contador will win Vuelta (they are spaniards,but still)

Obviously he only races to win, no one believes that bs about getting a stage in the last week.

He's already been training for 3 weeks after only being 2 weeks non-active, that's what the originaly guy on twitter said and i tend to believe him. He has a chance to win this.

I dont want AC to be pressured to perform and have any health problems.
If he can ride, he will definitely ride (obviously for winning the race).

I doubt he would bother to show up to the race just for training and maybe winning a stage.

I doubt he wins the GC, but I think he will give it a shot.

Nobody says he will win the Vuelta, absolutely.
But simply that it is difficult (if not impossible) that he goes just to participate, to score WT points and maybe win a stage.
He never did in his history, you know better than me.
In my view: pointing to the podium trying to limit the damage in the first week and then grow the shape and fight for everything in the last 10 days

edit: I just want him to race again,doesnt mind how I just want to see him doing what he loves.Its hard to imagine in coming years rider who is so exceptional.Its a pure joy to watch him race.

Great video. I really hope Contador has the form to ride like he can. I think a Froome vs. Quintana could be nice on its own, but include Contador as well and there could be carnage.

Otoh, I'm not looking forward to missing all the good mountain stages because I'll be at work.

I see no one has made a Vuelta Stage-by-stage analysis thread yet and there's only 6 days to go!

It will be tough as stage 6 is 'mountain' stage iirc.Froome and Murito will attack for sure like madmen,maybe even Nairo.Alberto will have hard days,Kreuziger can be crucial in a first week

No you needed an ID card in order to collect your timing chip - it's just someone else called alberto contador bizarrely

That is odd. Not that there is someone else with that name, but you would not expect to find them in London.
